(no title)

We now know what Sirius, Remus and Harry were going to pick up.

It's a puppy and it's cute too.

I like this because Remus still gets his 'baby', while Harry won't feel like he's being replaced. Nice way to compromise I think.

But then Harry would get all the fun! What about Remus and Sirius?

I think Harry should get his own pet snake.

Good point about his OWN snake. Except snakes aren't allowed as pets at school. Maybe he could get a special dispension from the Care of Magical Creatures teacher.

Plus, he could talk to all the snakes, and find one he likes.

Actually, and this mainly a canon gripe even though it also applies to N_A, I'm really disapointed at everyone who basically demonized Harry's parseltounge ability and snakes in general so that he doesn't really like snakes as much as he ought to. In N_A the only person to actually ENCOURAGE Harry to speak to snakes is Draco (and this is part of why PS would be good for Harry). Everyone else thinks it's evil.

Well, seeing as Remus is the CoMC teacher I'm betting all Harry would have to do is ask and it'd happen.

Then when he found a snake he likes, at least he would have something to talk no matter what and it would be private seeing as no one else in the school can understand parseltongue. I think it would be good for him to talk to someone/thing that doesn't know him as TBWL and who doesn't expect anything from him. And he would be able to just speak about anything and everything without being ostracized or feeling guilty. It'd be like therapy for him, methinks.

I don't like that about canon either. I mean, you think they would actually think it to be good/cool thing to be able to talk to an animal because it would mean you have that animal on your side (think Voldemort's Nagini). They just think that because Voldemort is the only other living wizard who can do it, it's automatically evil. I think the thing they forget to realize is that although Voldemort and Salazar Slytherin were 'evil' they were/are also very powerful wizards, and isn't that a good thing?

Just one more thing to love about Draco. <3

LOL, true.

And I have much <3 for Draco even if he has some 'issues' he needs to deal with. Because don't we all have issues?

*cough* Well, if it's being said that way then wouldn't Harry have two snakes? Or is his Draco's?

That drives me crazy too. What is it with the snake bias in that school? (I guess I went into that ad nauseum on the other thread!) I'd want to hear Harry speak Parseltongue all the time. Not to mention speaking Parseltongue was the very first thing Harry did as a wizard when he met that nice snake at the zoo. I'd do it a lot if I were Harry.

I rather like the bit about "Very leaky and with all the motor skills of a Bludger." Reminds me why I am a bit leery of babies.

That part was funny! I like that Harry hexed him to pay him back.

Ahh.. the joys of family time.

Meanwhile, the owls get brutally murdered.

I sense a bias against feathers.

Yes, Ginny's a chicken murderer and Arthur's an owl murderer.

Maybe it's a family thing? Those darn Weasleys!
