I am so in love with him right now.

What is causing the change, do you think? It seems fairly sudden. I'm guessing this is his reaction (largely) to Snape's accusations. Maybe. ???

I wonder if the recent Gryffindor bickering and especially Lavender's eating disorder have pushed him over the edge into take-charge mode?

Yes, he really is... and he still takes the time to look out for his friends, which I think is admirable.

I don't care if he's evil or not (and if it's the kind of evil that Snape fears, I'm surprised no one is cheering him on) I'll always like him.

I meant they might be cheering him on as Snape seems to dislike him and view him as a threat, which should please all those who dislike Snape.
