The next generation of F5.
Mood: curious

I swear this is on-topic. Particularly for those of you edging on carpal tunnel.

I gacked this from my friendslist. "Stick a "?mode=live" at the end of your friends page URL and it auto-reloads."

Can we confirm that this works for everyone?

This does not work on Netscape 7.

How often does it reload?

*is slow with computers*

I have no idea. I'm not sure where the person got this, either; presumably from one of the official LJ feeds.

Looks like it reloads every 20 seconds. Sweet!

You are my savior. Seriously. <3!!

Does it work on other pages besides friends? Because that would rule. Lots.

Is that what you have in the address bar?

If it is, then it's weird that you should get a problem.

oh. my. god. <3 you rule!

and for the people who were asking: it seems to work on any page.

Huh. Now that's interesting!!

Is there a way to put this into the code for the friends page so we don't have to put it in the URL every time?

(parent)

shusu @ June 10 2003, 15:20:21 UTC

I guess you could just make a link with the whole URL. Seems to work the same way filter suffix thingies do.
