Dra-co Mal-foooooy...
Mood: silly

Okay, this is probably spam, but I was just about to post this to my journal and then thought WHY BOTHER when I can just post it to nraged! Just what it's here for! I feel so touched.

ANYWAY.

This kills me with howls of laughter every single time I see it. Still.

I am not exactly sure why. Maybe because my mental pictures are so vivid, or maybe because I sat listening to the essay midi for about one hour straight one day :-"

Just thought I'd share the cause of my insane cackling. I, myself, am not insane.

[edit] we have already clarified my sanity, yes? so it's all right to say I've been listening to the midi for the last two hours, yes? good. and singing along? sexcellent.

thessamunga @ April 3 2003, 05:34:22 UTC IT'S AN AJA.

Dra-coooooooo Mal-fooooooooooooooy.

HELP ME, I HAVE BEEN SINGING THIS FOR THREE AND A HALF HOURS.

(parent)

bookshop @ April 3 2003, 05:37:40 UTC IT'S A THESS.

at the time he was writing it I suggested he use the Kindertotenlieder (if only because I was actually able to FIND a midi of the Kindertotenlieder!!!!). I thought the irony would have been utterly superb. Hmph.

His response was "but I can't sing my name to it."

Hmph. Bet he didn't think of the possible repercussions that could come from DRIVING ALL HIS FANS INSANE.

*shows no pity*

(parent)

thessamunga @ April 3 2003, 05:54:47 UTC NO, IT IS ZOMBIE!THESS.

I swear I am going to make a .wav of me singing this, I CANNOT STOP, I WILL HAVE DREAMS ABOUT THIS GODDAMNED TUNE. And my computer is slowly falling to pieces around my feet so the only things that are actually left running are TWO explorer windows (this one, HIIIII) - and the one with his essay, which I could probably recite from memory by now.

I HAVE ISSUES. PITY ME, PLZ, PLZPLZPLZ.

(parent)

bookshop @ April 3 2003, 06:14:15 UTC NO PITY.

Write a ficlet about it. A drabble, even.

Do it. I triple-dog dare you. :D

(parent)

thessamunga @ April 3 2003, 06:31:41 UTC IT IS 12:32am. I BLAME YOU.

Harry's sitting quietly with Ron at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall, not saying much, when a foreboding yet extremely dull tune comes waltzing in. It's not loud enough to be overpowering, but not quiet enough to escape notice, and Harry quirks a brow and glances over his shoulder to see Malfoy heading down the aisle between the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff tables, striding along like he owns the world - because he often thinks he does - and humming away to himself, almost seeming lost in thought.

"Is that the Volga Boat song?" Harry's done his homework. Malfoy's been humming the same tune for a week. Malfoy stops abruptly, just next to Harry. He could almost reach out and -

"Well, good Lord. Potter thinks he knows his Classicals. Thinks he has some class."

"I dunno, I just thought-"

"You're wrong, Potter. Of course, you're always wrong - beside the point. I like to call it the 'Draco Malfoy' song. Get with the times."

Malfoy sneers predictably and starts off on his stride again, resuming his hum for a beat or two before he's flat on his face and Ron's holding his sides with laughter, one foot stuck out fairly conspicuously in the aisle.

"Get with those times, you bloody sod!"

Harry doesn't dare get up from his seat to help him, but spends the rest of the day humming quietly to himself and hearing "Dra-co Mal-foooooooy" repeating over and over in his head. He's not really that annoyed by it, though.

Follow the link marked "this" in the original post to this thread. It'll open up to Sinistra's complaint about Draco's essay. Open Draco's essay and have your speakers on. Then you will know. And you will never be the same. :D

I'd forgotten about that, leave it to Draco to put a theme song in an essay. I wonder if it's stuck in sinistra's head too. *giggle*

Gah, now it's in my head.

Four and a half hours now on repeat. *cries*

(parent)

sistermagpie @ April 3 2003, 07:01:28 UTC

HA! Yes! I kept meaning to say something about it and forgot.

When I first read the essay I couldn't hear the music, so then when I read about Draco singing his name to a song I mentally supplied that "Ride of the Valkyries" piece, which also goes nicely with his name.

So now I've got TWO Draco themesongs running through my head!

(parent)

thessamunga @ April 3 2003, 07:24:02 UTC

That essay is nothing without the music.

DRA-CO MAL-FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY.

Great. Now I've got 3 songs for Draco. For some reason, I imagined him singing his name along to "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana. Thanks ever so.

NA does bad, bad things to my imagination.

I'm so scared.
