I have one of these!!!
Mood: amused

I have one of these.
It's possibly the coolest thing ever , Billy the Big Mouth Bass. My mother got me one for my fifteenth birthday and you can rig it up as a motion detector so it sings when ever some one enters your room.
Theres also one at the local shopping centre and neighborhood kids delight in pressing its button over and over again. When I saw it in Ernie's post I felt all inspired and decided to turn mine on, unfortuently the batterys are dead.

Why am I not surprised?

Because nothing surprises you.

Not true. I was completely surprised when I opened my mail a few minutes ago and found out there was a new MC Frontalot song out. I think it will be good with a few listens (his songs are really good, but the first listen doesn't quite convey how great it is).

Well I suppose there is a first time for everything.

Ditto. LOL.

zotel @ July 10 2003, 18:10:47 UTC Yeah but...

How bout the farting dog or singing turtle/lobsters? Me, I prefer my R2-D2 voice commanded droid. Now THATS cool. =)

(parent)

hezzabeth @ July 10 2003, 18:24:04 UTC Re: Yeah but...

Yes but its a fish!
It's so freaky when you walk past and it starts singing "dont worry be happy".

(parent)

saffronlie @ July 10 2003, 18:11:53 UTC

Those fish-things are the scariest things ever. They... they *sing* at you. And do the wiggly thing. It would have given me nightmares to habe one in my room.

hezzabeth @ July 10 2003, 18:24:39 UTC Re:

Thats why I love it.

(parent)

meifu_shinigami @ July 10 2003, 18:39:29 UTC

I remember seeing one of those off a CSI episode once. That was cute.

Still, it'd be extremely amusing if Harry DID have the fish mounted on a plaque on his wall. =D

(parent)

hezzabeth @ July 10 2003, 18:40:46 UTC Re:

I'd send him mine with a "congradulations Harry" card on it , if it was possible of course.

(parent)

meifu_shinigami @ July 10 2003, 18:46:43 UTC

Maybe rig it to play some REALLY silly song(s)....

(parent)

hezzabeth @ July 10 2003, 18:50:08 UTC Re:

Well currently it plays " dont worry be happy" which is silly enough. He can play it when his feeling paticulary dow :).

(parent)

meifu_shinigami @ July 10 2003, 18:56:39 UTC

Sounds more like something Neville would like. ^_^

hezzabeth @ July 10 2003, 18:58:54 UTC Re:

According to my friend Casina the fish inspired my icon.
But I think it would be very usefull for when Harry has his next fight with Draco , he cane just listen to the fishes postive message!

(parent)

meifu_shinigami @ July 11 2003, 02:36:54 UTC

...Or bonk him over the head with it.... =P

(parent)

hezzabeth @ July 11 2003, 02:38:24 UTC Re:

I think Draco should be the one suffering from fish boinking , ok that sounded Parryhotter worthy.

(parent)

meifu_shinigami @ July 11 2003, 17:25:53 UTC

Er... I thought that's what I'd meant: Harry using the fish to give Draco a solid whack over the head.

If that ever comes to pass, you can't say he never had it coming.

(parent)

hezzabeth @ July 12 2003, 01:32:26 UTC Re:

Hey I thought it was self inflicted fish boinking , like he would hit himself on the head.. that made more sense in my head.

(parent)

meifu_shinigami @ July 12 2003, 04:26:46 UTC

Harry doesn't seem the type to put himself through self-inflicted wounds. I should know, since I've encountered more than a few of them before.

I still wouldn't put him past whacking Malfoy with the fish, though. By this time, it should be disgustingly ripe... if he hadn't had it stuffed and mounted, that is.

(parent)

hezzabeth @ July 12 2003, 04:28:27 UTC Re:

I'm sure Ernie can help with the mounting and the stuffing. Of course a ripe fish could always add to Malfoy's punishment.

(parent)

meifu_shinigami @ July 12 2003, 04:31:32 UTC

Eurgh. This conversation has now begun to go into the disgusting. I could almost imagine Malfoy's expression... and the fish smile dripping down this hair. XP

(parent)

hezzabeth @ July 12 2003, 04:33:04 UTC Re:

I'm not sure if smile's can actually drip , although that would be rather amusing.

Eh I'm just kidding , I knew you meant slime.

(parent)

meifu_shinigami @ July 12 2003, 04:35:49 UTC

Sorry, mind's been wandering. That tends to happen when one has but 4 hours of sleep.

Actually, smiles could actually drip... when something starts to decompose. Makes for a rather interesting picture, though most people who were with me when we actually saw something to that effect ran out of the room totally nauseated.

(parent)

hezzabeth @ July 12 2003, 04:37:01 UTC Re:

You've seen decomposing bodies? are you an undertaker?

(parent)

meifu_shinigami @ July 12 2003, 04:39:27 UTC

Hardly. It was for a human anatomy class. The body hadn't been preserved too well. Needless to say, the ambiance had been rather... interesting.

I'm thankful that I'd had a cold that day and had been spared the full effects.

hezzabeth @ July 12 2003, 04:40:54 UTC Re:

I have never seen a corpse IRL.

(parent)

meifu_shinigami @ July 12 2003, 04:42:53 UTC

Pray you never have to see one that's not been enbalmed and placed in a casket. I've seen too many.

I might as well be the one to end this particular discussion. It's been nice talking to you!

perhaps you should learn how to spell first?

just saying, is all

(parent)

tiamet_nox @ July 11 2003, 14:32:04 UTC

I have one of those!!! My dog sings along *cough* with it. It's terrifying. ^_~

Also- I just got back from England (so am catching up with all missed N_A)... It was hotter there then Bali, apparently. And poor Neville is working outside in it. I'm glad he has something he seems to enjoy. And poor Ginny and Cho... I hope that works out. *gives one armed hug in support*

Did we ever find out what was happening in the W's shed?

A new product for Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes, perhaps?
