The world is a small place,
Mood: anxious

And it seems Sirius has seen more than one familiar face wherever he happens to be. Possibly he's been Yemen and seen Snape and Cho?

He also says sorry about the owl he sent to Remus, and that he can't risk getting a reply. Perhaps a highly Muggle zone, where an owl would be out of place? Snape mentioned that Yemen is teeming with 'Muggles and their weaponry', maybe a connection there?

And then Sirius is cut off, or at least seems to be cut off.

Cannot cope, off to wibble.

Well, we also know that Pince and Pomfrey were heading to Egypt. And Sinstra was in Canada.

And if most of the faculty were traveling over the summer, they may have tried hit each continent. I don't know. Although, Snape and his entrouage, such as it is, seem to be covering A LOT of ground.

Hopefully we will hear from someone else soon.

True. Though I didn't hear about Sinistra--that must have been during my slight detour from N_A back when life got waay to busy to get caught up.

Yes. I think I shall return to wibbling. What is Sirius doing?

Alternatively, it could be not just his friends from Hogwarts but one of the millions -- or 72s (74 if you count both Lupins and John Majors), if we prefer to be precise -- of people Sirius has slept with.

I think it's reasonable to suggest he can't risk getting a reply because an owl from Dogear Wryde would identify him, even if he were someplace owls are appropriate.

Hah. It's so fascinating how many people he's slept with! :D <3Sirius.

And yes, it is reasonable.

Hahaha. Did you count or did he post a count?

Is current NA game time set in summer 1997 (taking the CoS date of October 1992 for start of Harry's 2nd Year) or is time considered a bit flexible?

Certainly in July 1997 there was a border conflict with Saudi Arabia ongoing in the Yemen.

Actually, I think it could be assumed as 1997. But I'm not really sure... *clicks link* *goes to find out the year*

taking the CoS date of October 1992 for start of Harry's 2nd Year

Did it really say that in the CoS book? Or was this the movie? I really do not remember seeing this.

Yes, 1992 was the start of Harry's second year at Hogwarts.

Was the date on the 'Deathday' cake - of course that was not in the film. However, here is a lexicon time link.

According to Warner Home Video, she personally edited and approved the timeline that they included on the DVD of Chamber of Secrets. As a result, that timeline is canon and we can "officially" state that Harry Potter was born in 1980, that he started Hogwarts in 1991, and so on..

There are still problems with time in terms of calender dates as this was not something JKR seemed to have taken into account - she never could have predicted the fine tooth comb the books would be subjected to.

Wow. I so missed all of that.

Thanks for the link!

Lucius was out and about looking for funnel cake, was he not? That could also be a possibility.
