I definitely agree that it's a given Narcissa's pregnant, but....the more I think about it (and that's a lot, I'm bored senseless at work today) the more I wonder if perhaps Lucius is just being snitty about Narcissa's eating. I know this sounds kinda stupid, but I almost feel that he would make a bigger deal.

Of course, this is Lucius....and I am still new....

Personally I don't think so. We have to consider all the other clues (and we were given a lot of them) and admit it: we'll see another fascinating and charming Malfoy. Now we can think about other stuff: gender, name, Draco's attitude etc. Also what will Lucius think about all this new-heir-thing. After this comment we can assume, that he knows everything about the up-coming baby, but we didn't hear a great agiotage or objection. In fact we didn't hear anything and just have to wait.

My guess: we'll get a gorgeous little lady with a very original name (any thoughts about the name?) and character (a little lady version of Draco *OH MY GOD!!!!!*). Oh, and Draco will teach her everything about witty reply and winning everyone's heart. (I"D GIVE ANYTHING TO HEAR THAT *squee*)

no no, see my post--I'm positive Narcissa's pregnant, have been for ages. I was just wondering as to whether Lucius was speaking as an affirmation of her pregnancy or not. :)

Names....girls.....etc....hm. I'll have to think. So far we have a Draco--maybe some other kind of exotic magical animal? It would have to be very regal, clearly....and I agree that a girl would be adorably squee-worthy, though a boy would pose more heir problems....argh, I want to see more action on the boards! ::sigh:: So impatient....

I hope it's a girl, just because if it was another boy Draco would probably feel more threatened/competetive/resentful. Here's what I think a Baby Girl Malfoy would look like (after a few years).

Names of magical creatures...Unicorna? Er, I hope not! I can see a very feminine and princessy name like Veronica or Vanessa.

Probably a name with evil connotations rather than magical creature per se. All their names have outward respectability (bearer of light, flower, symbol of England's strength) and inner rot (the devil, vanity, the devil).

If they randomly pick our RP's baby name, or any bit of it, I shall LAUGH. ^^

He obviously made it because lately Draco pointed that his layout looks ugly.(when Harry posted first time from the Dursley's) Oh, I'm sure it's a good sign!!!!!!

I can't find the link but I remember that Narcissa had a thread with Vector and there was mention of what the name she had picked for Draco had he been a girl was. It was pretty hideous.
