NA!Lucius

It seems apropos to ask now--for a newbie to NA, what exactly is the status of NA!Lucius regarding Death Eater-ness? I'd thought maybe the family had disclaimed Voldie, given how chummy they were with various people, but apparently not. Help?

Oh, he is very, very evil. He refers obliquely to his "friends" in his posts, and you can see it in his interactions with Remus this evening.

However, he is also shiny (TM). Thus, we <3 his little black heart.

he was flirting with sirius too much awhile ago, so lupin challenged him to a duel, which ended more of a fistfight, it seems, since lucius needed painkillers, so he took some of narcissa's menstrual medicine. and then he went around singing muggle songs and acting all dopey...

that's exactly what confuses me.
Narcissa and Remus are apparently good friends and Lucius seems not to care. Maybe he respects Remus because he's related to Narcissa or maybe he likes to keep enemies close to himself

The more I've been thinking over it, I can't believe that Sirius would jeopardise his mission by 'meeting' or 'talking' to Lucius during it. It's just... not cool. I feel very sorry for Remus and Harry. :s
