Uhoh. Looks like they won't need any airconditioning in Malfoy Manor tonight.

Oh how I shiver.

dragynville @ August 9 2003, 02:06:57 UTC

And man is Lucius scrambling to try and get back in her good graces! XD

He is SO whipped.

(parent)

dragynville @ August 9 2003, 02:12:07 UTC

I know! If he were a sound, he'd be a whip-crack. XD

(parent)

black_dog @ August 9 2003, 02:15:13 UTC

Oh I don't know. There's some nasty implicit blackmail, some high-powered threats, being invoked on both sides.

(parent)

tabiji @ August 9 2003, 02:26:16 UTC

You are so right!

(parent)

black_dog @ August 9 2003, 02:50:25 UTC

Wow, is she dissing Voldemort now? This could, um, provoke some interesting plot developments. I hope she knows what she's doing.

I am loving the way L and N are laying it all out on the table. Wonderfully nasty stuff!

black_dog @ August 9 2003, 02:09:48 UTC

Damn! It's nice to see Narcissa showing some sharp teeth for once, though. The experience of being married to Lucius has not been wasted on her.

Is family crisis the theme of this month?

I wonder whether Lucius and Sirius' flirtation starts bothering her personally or she's just afraid it'd damage Remus' marriage further.

(parent)

ponymouse @ August 9 2003, 02:30:56 UTC

My sentiments exactly.
I think this has more to do with damaging Remus' marriage rather than bothering her personally, since this sort of thing happened before and she's never spoken up about it until now. Not to my knowledge, anyway.
Then again, maybe she's just recently developed a backbone?

(parent)

Anonymous @ August 9 2003, 10:42:17 UTC

I was thinking that perhaps she'd just gotten fed up with all the flirting Lucius has been doing lately (I'm including all those times she kicked us fangirls off of Lucius during the Q&A session as well- she got very upset about those, I thought).

Speaking of that, are the player interactions in nraged Q&As going to be part of canon? I know that I saw several things there that looked to be worth posting about.

Oh snap!

Narcissa's lessons from Hera Peligroso certainly are making her that much more assertive.

Behold the power of her ring. Quite.

ponymouse @ August 9 2003, 02:50:23 UTC

*smacks forehead* Had forgotten about Hera Perligroso! o_o
Interesting how Lucius tries to bring her down with the comment about the vodka...
And...is that a goth TK icon? *_*

Ahahahahahaha... there are so many old school Digimon fans on NrAged. Yes, yes it is. I miss the Digifandom, not that I was actually invested in it. Just lurked. But it was fun.

ANYWAY... On-Topic:

Yes, Narcissa all too often seems to be placated with alcohol, presents or extensive mollifying with compliments.....

I kind of really like the Hera Perligroso plotline. A lot more than I ever thought I would, I find it genuinely compelling.

(parent)

ponymouse @ August 9 2003, 03:03:14 UTC

What's depressing about this placation is that Draco seems to find it necessary to go along with it as well. Then again, he could just be sniping when he's doing that. Oh the possibilities...
Agree completely about Hera. Especially now that we see the after-effects of her lessons. <3 N_A.

[goth tk...ah my former love. i miss that site...]

Hera is the protector of marriage and the goddess married women turned to for help. (http://www.geocities.com/hestia624/olympians-hera.html). Echo is mentioned here too!!!

SHELLEY! Yay. Explanation of my joy: I really like Percy Bryce Shelley's poem Ozymandias. Apparently, Lucius does too.

Everything you ever love will reject you or die.

Everything you ever create will be thrown away.

Everything you’re proud of will end up as trash.

I am Ozymandias, king of kings

I am IMMENSELY impressed with Narcissa, standing up not only for herself here, but for Remus. Lucius tries to guilt, bribe, discredit and otherwise distract Narcissa from her goal of warning him off of Black, but she succeeds! I might even go so far as to say that she triumphs...

Also, I love supportive!Snape, both in the intense poetry quoting thread, and in this one. I find it interesting that Snape and Remus have such an elaborate discussion technique: at times, there's nothing but pithy quotes and references used to build up intricate arguments. Other times, they cut straight to the heart of the matter and don't play around.

The combination of these two threads compells me to declare blonde_narcissa and potions_master to be allied in The Axis Of Protectiveness, Pointed Comments and Good Breeding.

WAH!!!!!!!

Tic-tac-toe; three in a row:

Does it seem like Sirius at first tries to resist Lucius's advances?

Maybe he just needs a will-strengthening potion.

(parent)

_audrey @ August 9 2003, 10:01:30 UTC

I thought that too.

Maybe he just needs a will-strengthening potion.

Or a smack upside the head good talking-to.

*wibbles anyway*

I will agree with everyone else that Narcissa just plain ROCK here. She seems to be taking pointers from Snape's Witty Barbs(tm), and being all kinds of protective.
