Narcissa?

Hi, I was wondering about what people is think about Narcissa's entry. Why is she apologizing to Lucius? Could it be that her bad news is that she is running out of money. So she is now running back?

She is certainly trying to get Draco out of the shadow of his father, and Draco wants to go to sleep right after that exchange. Somehow I don't think he is ready yet.

Edit: well, she just had an entry calling Hera Peligroso a fraud. So the sorry did have something to do w/ money, and not trusting Lucius over Hera.

I suppose it could be the money thing. But I tend to think that she feels bad for their conversation earlier. Maybe she realizes that Lucius is trying...in his own way.

Also she's upset about what she considered a "valid business appointment". How many people thought that since she's been in Nevada that she'd been mistaken for someone who works at the infamous Chicken ranch? Oh, just me, then? Never mind.

... could Narcissa have been propositioned?

Just a thought.

Given that she had an appointment at the Hollow of Hips, I'd say most likely. I mean, does that sound like a reputable establishment to you? I'm wondering if they offered her a job...

I was wondering that too. After all, it did make her feel "beyond egregious", and French women do tend to wear a lot of makeup and perfume...

As for her apology, perhaps getting a reality check made her feel guilty for leaving Lucius? No married woman wants to be told they look like a prostitute.

Her icon is a pic of the UT clock tower (I'm a student there -- w00t!) so I'm thinking that 'Hollow of the Hips' is actually Hippie Hollow. It's got quite the reputation! *snorts*

::snort:: indeed - Hippie Hollow is a nude beach!

I'm wondering what kind of meeting Narcissa was supposed to have there...

And why is she a man?

Desolée, Narcissa, desolée.

Because her player, who is Queen of Typos anyway, was exhausted when she wrote the post.

I'd like to applaud you (any of you) for being able to read through and decipher (or attempt to) the conversations between Narcissa and Lucius and try to figure out what has been happening with one or both of those two. I find their conversations harder than conversations between Draco and M.B. when they are speaking in blanks. :P

I agree. It's pretty much impossible to tell what's going on when they are playing the i'm-more-polite-than-you game.

Actually, someone did here, but I'm not exactly surprised that no one saw it, since it was way at the bottom and all.

Divorce??? Lupin and Black is still legally married, since Narcissa returned her ring, all of us is assuming she means to go for a divorce. Maybe Lupin wants adive on that.

In the Q&A with Remus, I think he said that his marriage wasn't legally binding, so if things fell apart, it wouldn't require a legal divorce.

I'm curious too! Maybe it's about Snape, or children.

I have no clue what's going on with Narcissa, but my mind went this way: She seems to be off on a kind of new age vision quest thingie and Hera, being one of those self-help gurus, possibly told her to see somebody who would help her get in touch with her Inner Self or something. But the guy was perhaps just a sleaze who considered sex part of the higher consciousness so Narcissa (being not stupid nor timid) told her off and woke up to the fact that these New Age Gurus are charletans and just wanted to take advantage of her and her money? Her "I'm sorry" I thought was perhaps a genuine admission of mistakes she's made on her genuine search to be a better person.

That's just what it seemed like to me. Not that she's apologizing for everything, but that she's seeing that at times she may have been unfair to him.

Maybe she really was unfair with him...but still, one DOES have to wonder why she honestly feels now that Hera is a fraud?
