Dean! And Boot! Yes!
Mood: pleased

Remus arranges a meeting with Sirius, and Sev suggests something 'odd' and 'not a little frightening'... Hmmm.

Also! Gah! At last! deanthomas and boot_boy speak! We hear a bit about Dean's summer, er... and new hair. :D

O___________________________O (to your icon)

and mpreg? Oh dear. But. Don't they actually have to, youknow do get that? And, I haven't .. read that they..does this mean they have! SQUEE! But, no, mpreg.

Maybe it's not. But, what could it be? And, how would Snape have gotten pregnant, wasn't it Remus that was a woman for awhile?? This is all very discomforting.

Also, I don't think it's healthy that I read:

And Severus, I got your message and I am on my way down. Are you certain? That would be... well, rather odd. And not a little bit frightening, don't you think?

and my first thought is: MPREG.

la_trix @ October 21 2003, 13:12:28 UTC

The fact that you had that thought is odd, and not a little frightening.

I was thinking of the ghost. Maybe Severus has identified it? One of the dead Hufflepuffs, or Soblessa, maybe?

(parent)

robot_sweat @ October 21 2003, 13:21:15 UTC

I blame notapipe.

hobaggins @ October 25 2003, 18:42:19 UTC

I don't think it's the sort of thing you can refuse.

Just because you don't accept the blame doesn't mean that it's not affixed to you.

Besides when I think of MPREG I think of you. And I hate you for it. Because after I think of MPREG again I think of mouth!birth.

My first thought was wolf-transformation related (ie. being there). But we're quite a way off the next full moon aren't we?

Is the post title a lyric/poetry quote? It sounds like one, but googling found nothing.

(parent)

la_trix @ October 21 2003, 16:11:20 UTC

The next full moon is November 8th. Also, it didn't sound to me like "Time to take the Wolfsbane." That wouldn't be odd or frightening.

And I assume the subject line is a line from a poem, but I couldn't find it either.

(parent)

dragynville @ October 21 2003, 16:20:33 UTC

One of the dead Hufflepuffs, or Soblessa, maybe?

There's nothing odd or frightening about that though. Maybe the ghost has done something odd and unghostlike?

(parent)

la_trix @ October 21 2003, 17:20:30 UTC

I don't know, I thought it would be odd to have Soblessa wandering the school among her former classmates. I mean, they'd be a little freaked out if she were wandering the halls wailing and sobbing (as this ghost's been doing), wouldn't they?

It really could be anything, though; we haven't been given much to go on to figure out what they're talking about just yet.

(parent)

dragynville @ October 21 2003, 19:11:48 UTC

Disturbing yes, but not frightening. That just seems too strong. And they should be rather used to ghosts by now. That's why I thought maybe the ghost (if it's that at all) might be behaving oddly. (*haha* Maybe Colin is continuing his relationship with Soblessa. Now that could be odd and a little frightening. XD)

Yes, we need more clues!

You are not alone. That's exactly where my mind went as well. I'm not sure what that says about me, especially since I'm not a fan of mpregs. So I sit here and hope it is anything but.

(parent)

whoyouinvent @ October 21 2003, 15:16:22 UTC

Count me in, that's what came to my mind, too. I've read a total of one mpreg, and that didn't impress me too much. But I somehow doubt that's what's going on here.

Yes, but very sexy cardboard. :D

My first thought was that it had something to do with Harry's snake, or has Sevvie returned it already.

I wish my first thought was as spiffin' as your first thought.

(parent)

la_trix @ October 21 2003, 17:22:44 UTC

Ooh, I like this idea. I forgot all about the snake ...

(parent)

dari_brit @ October 21 2003, 18:30:35 UTC

You're absolutely right...I think it's something to do with the snake as well, which also may have something to do with Sev's summer trips and the objects he brought back. Hmmmm.

(parent)

merlion @ October 21 2003, 20:16:56 UTC ****LIVE THREAD***

Perhaps Harry's snake is really a death eater as an animagus? I mean, Severus says that Sirius, Minerva, and Albus might be able to help. All 3 are animagius, which Lupin and as far as we know, Snape, are not.

Also, they want aurors around after they cast the spell. For some reason, I'm thinking of Petigrew's trick.

(parent)

Anonymous @ October 22 2003, 00:30:31 UTC Re: ****LIVE THREAD***

umm, forgive me, i've been reading nraged and nocturne alley forever, (lurking, if you will ;D) and the books, of course, but when/where did we find out about dumbledore being an animagi?

(parent)

merlion @ October 22 2003, 09:31:09 UTC Re: ****LIVE THREAD***

Hmmm. Perhaps I have my cannon wrong. This is possible. I was thinking to the beginning of book one. But I suppose, only Minerva was a cat. Thanks for the catch.

(parent)

bookofjude @ October 21 2003, 22:07:17 UTC

I think it is something to do with the snake.

(parent)

monkiedude @ October 21 2003, 22:45:15 UTC

I agree, the snake. Sounds to me like it's someone in animagus form that they want to forceably transform back -- hence Lupin saying he's done the incantation for that before and saying Sirius might help (and also, Snape saying that Minerva might also be useful).

But who's the dangerous 'she'?

(parent)

lazy_daze @ October 22 2003, 01:16:14 UTC

Bellatrix? That's what immediately came to my mind...

(parent)

la_trix @ October 22 2003, 09:56:57 UTC

I think in NA-land, she's still in Azkaban. Plus, Severus said he did this to her (turned her into a snake?) "many years ago," and I can't see how that would fit. You know, if we're actually talking about the snake, which we don't know for sure.

(parent)

tabiji @ October 22 2003, 19:08:31 UTC

The way Remus asked if Sev was okay makes me think that he has a personal involvement/attachement. I wonder if maybe it's his sister?

(parent)

snowballjane @ October 23 2003, 04:06:54 UTC

Hmm, good theory.

Here's more evidence that would support it.

(parent)

luna_lg @ October 23 2003, 16:06:01 UTC

It IS a very good theory, I will admit. I can imagine that it's a bit shocking to find if the snake really is ol' Sevvie's sis.

BUT the snake had mentioned that it called itself "Hulk" once. Can't remember the link, but for those who read American comic books...

...am I trying too hard? Yes, I'm trying too hard. ^_-

akutenshi2007 @ October 21 2003, 18:42:13 UTC

well, he said "I'm off to see a wizard." wouldn't that reinforce the Wizard of Oz thing? (or am i just pointing out the obvious?)

New hair indeed. There's a difference between being artistic and being crazy, Dean.

I also like the atmosphere in the Dean/Terry posts, and it reinforces my wish for Seamus/Charlie - because Dean shows absolutely no jealousy whatsoever about Terry's offhand remark about "having another shag with Millie, if she'll let me". (I'm almost positive petitemillicent will refuse him. Well, strongly hopeful, anyway.) I think it shows that Dean is not prepared to commit to anything other than a casual, non-exclusive arrangement, and expects the same from his lovers. And Seamus, well, Seamus is ready and prepared for seriousness and fidelity.

I really, really hope the future Dr. Finnegan has been keeping up his correspondence with a certain red-haired dragon-tamer. I really, really do.

(parent)

comava @ October 22 2003, 01:34:11 UTC

Perhaps it’s just me... but doesn’t Terry sound different? He used to be just as dramatic and woeful as he’s accusing Dean of being now and *wanders off munching purple beans* sonds a bit... forced.

God forbid he’s getting mature. I want my brooding!Boot_Boy

It may be late, but I wish to second Lupin's sentiment Re: American "Quidditch". Finchburg was robbed. They stole it from themselves, certianly, but they were robbed nonetheless.

Also, props to lupercus's player for working it in.
