(no title)

*first time poster*

I wasn't sure if anyone had mentioned this yet, so I thought I might bring it up.

There's been much speculation over the "I need to talk to you, Harry" comments in
this post. I personally don't think there was any use of the "L word." I'm not really sure what I think of it yet.
Regardless, someone mentioned in this post that Harry's image had been inserted into two of Draco's icons. I thought that it was interesting that the image was inserted into icons whose keywords are "I am heroically noble" and "I will not stand for harassment."ALSO note that Harry is now on Draco's right shoulder.

Implications? Hm...

[Sorry if I put this somewhere I shouldn't have, but the other post on this topic was getting really hard to follow ^_^;]

at first i thought they were inserted but now i'm not 100% sure since someone brought up similar screen caps that had harry in them...however, he was way out of the frame that would've been cropped to make the icons so it could've been purposefully there...I know i noticed the icons before this, but I never noticed harry's presence in them...so I'm a little on the fence as to whether they're significant or not. :/ As for the L word, i'm leaning towards something more relationship significant rather than DE or anything...though always leaving the possibility that it is worded in a way to lead us astray so they can laugh at us :P

Those userpics have been around a while. They have always had Harry's image in them. And I'm pretty sure they've always had those keywords.

Interesting note about Harry being on Draco's right shoulder, lonelyspade. I hadn't picked up on that before. I forget--in the standard angel/devil thing, does the angel normally sit on the right shoulder? So then are you implying that Draco sees Harry as his moral conscience, perhaps?

Or mebbe a guardian angel of sorts?
Hmm [thinks].
And I still don't know if he's won't stand for harassment from Harry or harassment from elsewhere. Does his "heroic nobility" have to do with whatever "that" is, or is he just being...for lack of a better term, himself?

This one I'm not entirely sure about. Harry looks to overlap strangely with Draco, but not so obviously that I'm not sure it's my slasher tendencies acting up. The border on his hair looks like it might have had a blur-smudge job, and Harry's hair looks a bit too distinct to be a natural photo, but again they're close enough to normal variation that I can't be sure.

However, in exhibit B:

Um, no offense to PS's player, but Harry's hed is pastede on really badly. (Yay! Shippiness! And was that correct usage? so out of loop here.)

Why? Um, lots of reasons. One, it's the looks like the same shot of Harry in each one. Two, the brightness/contrast doesn't really match—Draco is all highlights and shadows while the rest of it has a more balanced levels distribution. Three, the line between Draco and the rest is unnaturally sharp, especially around his shoulders. All of this I could dismiss as Ernie-ism, even though it's more pronounced than the other photo, except for this:

There is a rough black line scribbled around Harry. It's really, really, obviously scrawled on in Photoshop. I mean, it even overlaps Draco's robes and everything. The second icon has to be a photomanip.

I thought the matter of the icons were discussed already. Unless I'm imagining things. x_x Then, uhm, carry on?

Heh. I never saw any deep analysis. But maybe I'm just oblivious. -.-

Ah, no, I was referring to the idea that both were manipulated.
At any rate, I think they were - those look like screencaps from the movies, and I don't recall Harry ever being behind Malfoy. At least, not the way they are in the icons.

Deep analysis rocks. I'm intrigued by the idea that Harry's positioned at the right to represent Malfoy's conscience, etc.

The second icon definitly is. Harry was on the other side of that shot in that scene. < http://creative-escape.org/draco/pictures/coscaps/cos24.jpg >

go to http://creative-escape.org/draco/pictures/coscaps first, and then http://creative-escape.org/draco/pictures/coscaps/cos24.jpg. it should work then.

Aha! The link works! [pleased]
Hehehe. It's not even the same head that's in the icon.
You are my hero :)

It's possible that it's just been mirrored.

well, flipped and then moved harry closer into the frame, since he could've easily been cropped out..
