Mmm, so what does he think Ron was lying about? Studying during the catfight?

Yeah what was Ron lying about....and what was ps accused of lying about, presumably by Harry? I'm assuming this happened during their talk when Harry gave Draco back his broom? Seems like they're having a lot of trouble hashing out what happened at the Manor.

Also, remember Harry accused Draco of lying in response to whatever he said in his screened comment, so Draco may have reiterated that again. Then, too, he insisted he wasn't lying. Harry may still not believe him.

I think PS must be referring to something Harry said, because I can't remember the last time Ron even interacted with PS, let alone called him a liar.

PS surely likes to let things fester, doesn't he? If -- and I think you're right on -- this has something to do with Harry saying PS was lying in the screened comment. But ... PS is a liar, isn't he? Hasn't his player said that? So why is he choosing to bring up the subject unbidden, when he can't truthfully defend himself?

I figured his comment about being a liar had to do with Harry telling him he was lying in their recent meeting. He definitely does let things fester...one could probably make a list of all the times he's posted with something like, "Apparently I'm a [fill in the blank with something Harry called him days before or a week ago he seemed okay with at the time but has since stewed about until he was angry]." It could be about the screened comment too, though the two things seem kind of related because they're both about whatever happened at the Manor, so Harry may have failed to believe him twice.

But ... PS is a liar, isn't he? Hasn't his player said that? So why is he choosing to bring up the subject unbidden, when he can't truthfully defend himself?

Well...I think he's kind of weird in that he both is a liar and is very honest. Like, he's usually forthright about how he feels about things and says what happens, but puts his own spin on it. He has a hard time hiding how he really feels--as Lisa said, he lets a lot slip if you just let him talk. Otoh, though, he *tries* to cover up how he feels, so he often says one thing while obviously the opposite is true.

So I'd say from his own pov he probably thinks he's honest, and whatever he's being accused of lying about now he's probably not, which is why he's feeling self-righteous about it. It's just hard to know how much truth is really there without knowing what he's referring to! But if it's whatever he said in the screened comment, I'd say Harry is mistaken if he thinks he's lying.

Oh, yeah, I agree. But I'm in firmly in the "PS told Harry he loved him" camp, so who knows how much of that is just wishful thinking.

So you get the sense that Harry called him a liar again when he returned the broom? I guess I just figured that, given the complete lack of follow-up from PS, Harry, or M.B., that things went okay.

Of course, we haven't heard from Harry since, except in Percy's post, so maybe not.

*thinks about Harry's kissing Lavender once years ago, and Draco's systematic destruction of Lavender*

... Yep.

He's so talking to Harry.

I agree. He said "some people," which I think is DraCode for Harry.

LOL! DraCode!!! Yes!!!

So PS says he wasn't studying? (because I think there's no doubt there was a catfight) Does he imply he was watching it or probably doing something else?
Maybe it's just me, but I suppose he can mean he was doing something Parvati, who wasn't there, wouldn't like. but I'm most likely wrong :)

Since PS also mentions that people owe him money for betting on the fight, maybe that's what he's referring to? In Draco's eyes Pansy won the fight, so maybe he's calling Ron a liar for betting and then not paying up?
