Damn.
Mood: morose

I think that just_harry is regretting having said anything. Draco is continuing to ignore him, and for some reason he's not making an effort to get a direct answer out of him.

I guess he's trying to downplay how important it was to him. *sob* Like the way he responds to Seamus' comment with "yeah, okay. It was just an idea." Just an idea, my ass. The poor ickle woobie... :(

I guess that reply could be construed as damage control if he's afraid of losing his friends without having gained potterstinks, but Harry's better than that, really.

It's also really annoying that LJ is a semi-public forum, so we have no idea what Draco is *really* thinking. Sure, he's ignoring Harry, but he hasn't commented to his parents about it either. It's like it will all take place behind the scenes (his reaction, I mean), while Harry was brave enough to ask upfront.

damn, i just got back from a series of meetings and there's -this-.

i'm honestly not surprised at potterstinks, but that doesn't mean i don't want to beat his head in with a big stick.

is he still mad at harry for ignoring him for so long?
upset/something at what happened that night?
completely not interested in anything just_harry?

harry took a big jump by asking draco publically- he could have just IMed him or done a locked entry. and draco doesn't even dignify that with a response.

so as much i want to kick potterstinks right now, i'd more like to know what he's thinking/feeling. fat chance of that, yeah. >

I think p_s is sailing down the river Nile.

Whatever happened between he and Harry after the party has caused some serious efforts on the part of p_s to act like j_h plum doesn't exist.

Meanwhile, j_h isn't giving up. He (IMO) seems to think that whatever happened, he wants more from p_s (not even somethign sexual, perhaps they just talked that night) and damned if he isn't trying all the tactics he can think of to get what he wants.

shusu @ April 9 2003, 19:05:01 UTC from the cover-up conspiracy angle

Ok guys calm down.

There is still hope that this is a cover-up.

If Draco replied to him in public, MORE people would jump on them both. Harry's going way out on the indiscretion here. Even if it is a first request...

What would you do, if you're Draco? If you reply directly to Harry you're expected to insult him. Parents are watching. The school is watching.

Harry may have made the *simple* mistake of inviting Draco when he had a pre-arranged appointment with Narcissa. Draco can't respond directly, so he replies to his mother in the same thread to let Harry know... hello, it's not to Harry directly, but who's getting the e-mail replies? Harry is. Even if this is a first time thing, Draco is being remarkably civilized given his past behavior. And Harry seems to be defending that civility.

What may be open is if this is a date... or a friendship. If the latter he may have even MORE to cover up since it seems Lucius considers m/m a rite of passage.

Something Narcissa with her Fake!Lucius and ... I think?? Draco's deflowering promise to her may not hold with.

What do you guys think?

luleh @ April 9 2003, 19:14:32 UTC Re: from the cover-up conspiracy angle

I'm not sure that bith guys are a part of the conspiracy.

I think that j_h is up to something with trying to get the school to wonder if he's off his rocker and perhaps isolate him for asking GASP! Malfoy of all people to go to Hogsmeade.

I think p_s is still in his I'm HET!HET!HET! mode.

shusu @ April 9 2003, 19:16:41 UTC ?

I'm not sure that bith guys are a part of the conspiracy

Er... huh? *confused*

Only takes j_h and ps...

(parent)

luleh @ April 9 2003, 19:20:46 UTC Re: ?

I mean, I don't think p_s and j_h are engaged in some sort of cover-up.

I think j_h might be up to something wrt to p_s, but I think p_s is still in denial land.

So I think if there's a conspiracy, it's a conspiracy of one.

(I'm not making any sense, am I?)

(parent)

shusu @ April 9 2003, 19:42:15 UTC oh! okay

I gotcha! LOL.

Maybe a conspiracy of one and a half :DDD

The fans of NrAged are really quick to come up with many theories based on subtle often-accidental facts. I think that since we do this, the NA characters are getting more subtle. Draco giving discreet hidden-in-words replies to Harry is very possible, since it's now expected that the scrupulous fans will pick up on them.

I agree, I don't think Draco is rejecting him. He's not accepting him either, but I don't think he's giving him a full-out don't-ever-ask-me-again rejection.

And Lucius! In a way, his m/m history might garner Draco some approval in a m/m relationship, but there'd probably be an explosion if his partner is revealed as Harry.

(parent)

shusu @ April 9 2003, 19:44:53 UTC *puts on the Evil Hat and spins another wild one.*

Or maybe Lucius just wants to recruit Harry. Through Draco? Hmmm.

I mean, Narcissa already has Lupin half in her pocket...?

I could see that having comedic elements. But possibly because I'm disturbed :p

(parent)

shusu @ April 9 2003, 19:46:25 UTC *addendum*

Harry Potter: the Makeover.

That would be something. Narcissa's already done the girls...

I think that since we do this, the NA characters are getting more subtle.

Wah! You mean it's our fault?! ... er, guys, if we ever wanna see some quality harry/dracowahtheirloveissopureandnolongerindenial, maybe we should go Goyle on 'em. ;)

(parent)

anjaliesque @ April 9 2003, 20:22:11 UTC Re:

Yeah, I think there's a lot that could be traced back to us. NA is really really active now, with tons of characters getting involved with many posts and tons of comments on even non-NA journals, and it wasn't much like that two months ago. I think that's because of NrAged.

Great idea! Let's all be dense and go, "I don't get it...why does Harry keep talking to Draco? I don't geeeeeet it..." and then things will hafta be spelled out for us. Next Harry post: "Draco, come to Hogsmeade with me this weekend, I NEED YOU AND CANNOT DO WITHOUT YOU, WAH."

(parent)

imochan @ April 9 2003, 20:28:57 UTC

I agree that NA is definitely influenced by this fancomm. What with all the shoutouts they've given people/ideas/comments/you name it, and the impromptu visits they gave us a while ago! *snugglies anons*

"Draco, come to Hogsmeade with me this weekend, I NEED YOU AND CANNOT DO WITHOUT YOU, WAH."

YES! It's a plan! ... Wait. Do you think they'll read this? No! If they see it, then they'll know, and they won't and... *wailsclutcheshead* Wah!

;))

(parent)

luleh @ April 9 2003, 20:29:52 UTC

Garsh...

Harry must really have issues with potions if he's asking Draco to go with him to Hogsmeade so they can discuss class.....

But, really, he should stop with all the posting in Draco's journal! People will think something odd is going on.

(parent)

imochan @ April 9 2003, 20:32:59 UTC

Naw... Harry's just a dedicated student!

Odd? What's odd? I see no odd. Odd-free. ¬_¬

I know!! He must've forgotten his own password and it's the ONLY way he can get in touch with anyone!!

*proud of self*

luleh @ April 9 2003, 20:53:07 UTC Of course!

Aw, poor Harry!

Harry, just send an email to LJ support! They can fix you up with a new password. No more need for you to post in Draco's journal!

I actually prefer it this way. What sets NA apart from other RPGs is that you have to read between the lines, and the mystery of it all drives you happily insane. It makes revelations like this one Big Events, and it's more fun for the fans. I'm in a different RPG (alohomora), and I don't like how everyone automatically knows every character's deepest thoughts, just by the player disallowing comments.

Just IMHO. *hugs j_h*

zorb @ April 9 2003, 21:30:38 UTC

Er, that would be alohomora_rpg. Because I can remember the name of my own RPG, really I can.
