It's the comment we've all been waiting for...

Also, a player on wibble chat has confirmed that this is the first time they have spoken since *it* happened...

Or not...

kaffy_smaffy @ June 28 2004, 14:19:08 UTC

Yes, well.

Oh that sure got me. It must be so awkward for them and that "Yes, well." shows it pretty well.

Yep, now we need to pray that Draco actually realises how lucky he is ^.^

(I will analyse later, right now I'm too full of squee...)

I was so worried about how Draco would respond.

(parent)

empress_nothing @ June 28 2004, 15:39:37 UTC

So was I. Believe me, so was I.

This might be a bit OT for all the j_h wibbling, but Draco's reply to Ron nearly floored me.

But he's letting Harry be there for him. I am a walking mass of [wibble].

(parent)

sistermagpie @ June 28 2004, 17:32:21 UTC

It seems like he's trying to make an effort to acknowledge all of them. He thanked Seamus, told Ron he got the flowers and then also said, "All right," to Ron's "sorry."

(parent)

unknownwisdom @ June 28 2004, 18:01:20 UTC

I agree. I read that "All right, then." as an acknowledgement of the fact that Harry wasn't expecting him to say anything more.

Do you think that Ron and Ginny sent Draco and Millicent a pansy?

Just a thought, I could be completely off here.

(parent)

heliopath @ June 28 2004, 21:14:28 UTC

... oh. I didn't think of that, but you could be right. How sad! I was wondering why Ron said 'flower' singular, but a lone pansy would certainly explain it. :(

(parent)

jacay @ June 29 2004, 01:36:12 UTC

Oh wow, that makes so much sense. But you know, at least they sent something. Draco and Millicent were not the nicest people to the Weasleys. I can understand why they would only have sent a pansy. I believe that's more than Draco and Millicent did for George--but then again, Pansy deserved better than that, I mean, she planted a tree for him.

I'm almost certain that Draco once ranted that no one would plant a tree for a Slytherin if a Slytherin died, or that Gryffindors get better treatment than Slytherins and no one would care if a Slytherin died. Unfortunately, I can't find where he said that.

(parent)

quixotic_sense @ June 29 2004, 13:17:30 UTC

Yeah, Draco said that in an exchange of comments with Seamus, IIRC. It's almost ironic that he's been disproven in the wake of an event that would more likely make everyone turn against the Slytherins -- or Draco, specifically. Instead he's been receiving gestures of condolences from Ron and Ginny Weasley, whom one would expect to spit in his face.

the first time they have spoken since *it* happened...
New reader/fan, followed all the wibbling after the attack.
Can somebody quickly fill me in on what this is referring to between Draco & Harry?
Thx.

unknownwisdom @ June 29 2004, 12:06:27 UTC Re: It?

Oh, I'm sorry if that wasn't too clear. I was referring to the attack, that's all.
