Well, I sort of assumed he would. And that it's just an action to be read into and analyzed and all that, and then he'd come back, apologizing the whole way in true j_h fasion. But now you've got me all worried and unsure and wibbly and- curse the strangle-hold NA has over my heart. :(

99% of me says that McGonagall is a no-nonsense person. She'll sympathize with Harry's feelings but say the project is the project and can't be abandoned just because someone else has been horrible.
The other 1% is wibbling with you. :(
