(no title)

So. Let's take a look at all that has happened.
Saturday morning: Draco comes to breakfast, only to throw metal sticks on the Gryffindor table and storm off.
Sunday morning: Padma sees Harry dragging something "silvery" behind him as he flees the scene on his broom. Silver? Golf clubs? Hm.
Later on in various posts, Ron demands to know where Harry is, and even goes so far as to ask Pansy how to get to Malfoy Manor.
Obviously Harry took the golf clubs to Malfoy Manor. Now he is either going to,
A.) Snog him
B.) Throw the golf clubs at him and leave (but he's been gone much too long for that)
or C.) Beat him to death with the clubs and dispose of the body in the Great Lake.
I am going with C.
[edit] My theory is incorrect, because obviously it was his invisiblity cloak and I am a fool. However, I still wish for snoggage. [/edit]

I like this theory. I had not even thought of that...

I was personally thinking it was his invisibilty cloak. Maybe not, though. Oh well.

That would make sense. Did not even cross my mind, in my wild hope for snoggage.
You have ruined all my dreams. *sulks*

Yeah, I was thinking invisibility cloak as well.

See, now, _that_ crossed my mind. lmao

It's his invisibility cloak, IMO. He's leaving school when he's not supposed to in the middle(?) of the night going to Malfoy Manor.

Enough with the golf clubs, people! ;)

But I like the golf clubs. They're sexy.

*seconds* All long and silvery, complete with leather handgrip... Perhaps with a golf club Draco can imitate his esteemed father's sexy snake stick. :D

You mean he'd stroke Harry with his golf club? I'm sure Harry would like that.

Yes, they are.

I'm going to disagree that it was the cloak.

Padma said that he was "dragging" it. Harry would never do that; that cloak was his father's, he would make sure it lasted as long as it could. Besides, Padma is a Ravenclaw and while she has made mistakes in the past, her date with Draco, I would think that she would know an Invisibility Cloak when she saw one.

And if he didn't want to get caught, why didn't he put it on BEFORE coming out of hiding?

These are just my thoughts.

Yes, I agree with you and I just totally repeated what you said without noticing. I think perhaps it's time for me to wander off to bed.

Hmmm, until this, I had not considered that they might honestly be golf clubs. Brilliant

So maybe Harry went to drop them in the lake or some fool sentimental hurt purging thing like that.

all this searching for clues (or reading the clues others have found) has me feeling like a member of mystery inc...

jinkies!

and for those who may not catch that reference, i mean the scooby doo gang.

and maybe the duel will end with everyone snogging everyone... or maybe i am also a fool...

notapipe @ April 27 2003, 09:20:43 UTC

if they had a snogging curse, it might.

OK, I thought invisibility cloak too but your theories are more fun. :)

However I think Harry is off to the duel. After PS's actions of Friday night I don't think Harry will want to speak with him for a while.

I think it's the cloak. If Harry is running out he can be forgiven for not noticing the cloak was dragging a bit on the ground.

I think Harry is off to find Remus at the Manor. Remus would of course never allow Harry to be part of the duel but Harry is understandably worried about Remus. I hope nobody gets hurt.

This could have all kinds of possibilities if Draco is still there, which he may be. Harry probably doesn't want to see Draco at all, but Draco also wants Harry to stay away from him. Showing up at his house might send Draco over the edge. Harry's getting further and further into Draco's personal territory and more and more entwined with Draco's family and that's got to be frightening for Draco.

Also, we have no idea what state Draco is in now. Last we heard he was off for his dressing down. The last posts from Lucius and Narcissa about it seem to indicate they feel the way they did before--that Draco is a puzzling disappointment that they can't explain. Maybe it was one of those skads of other nameless people who had a hand in his upbringing. I assumed, at least, that those posts came from after their talk with Draco but perhaps they were just gearing up for it then.

If not, then we know nothing of how the meeting went or if Lucius and Narcissa made any headway with Draco or what his punishments from them might be. The two of them seem unaffected by the meeting but then, of course they would be. If Harry runs into Draco at the Manor there could be an ugly confrontation even worse than Remus and Lucius (and unnoticed if the adults are preoccupied).

Or it's also possible that Harry will stumble upon Draco and prevent something the adults have missed that will put things in perspective. Meaning that there's something fraught with possibilities in Harry coming upon Draco in a private moment while he (Harry) is invisible. I don't know what it would be, but given that Draco is always so "on" when anyone is with him this could be interesting.

*steps out from lurking and waves shyly*

Maybe Harry--under the cover of the cloak--could see Draco crying? That would be a vulnerable moment.

*runs back into hiding*
