Current mood: sleepy

One cannot imagine how incredilbly alluring a Russian accent bubbling forth from Lucius's lips can be at half eight in the wee hours of the morning. I always have enjoyed it so when he would put on that little floral print shirt with the ermine and black velvet babushka (is that how one spells that, darling? I am not Russian and have no inkling on the correct spelling whatsoever.) and pay attention to my every needs.

So thoughful my little Dark Vlador is! I must say, I did not need to apply any of my trust Bobbi Brown Blush and Beautiful rogue this morning courtesy of the girlish flush he managed to coax forth from me.

I adore all of my presents from Lucius so very much! The vineyard in Italy is simply darling and the cottage, although quite quaint, is everything I would hope something like a back-to-nature getaway would be! Only two bedrooms! How charmingly archaic! Poor Lucius's ankle and arm were paining him so we did take time out to get a better look at the two bedrooms. I must confess that, although we spent quite a good amount of time inside one bedroom in particular, I was a bit too caught up in other things to worry about the decorum. Perhaps the next visit out to the cottage will see me with a more attentive eye.

After we returned back to the Manor, Lucius gave me even more birthday presents, of which I was not expecting at all. A trainer for Echo is certainly something that shall benefit not only the puppy but myself as well. I want my precious canine to be well-behaved, after all. The earrings are simply gorgeous and rather shiny. I almost did not notice the stack of Hera Peligroso books (All autographed!!!) on account of the shiny nature of the baubles. I do so love shiny things.

When our festivities seemed to wind down for a bit, I gathered up a few items of clothing as Remus requested and headed off to Hogwarts to meet with him.

I took a good amount of clothing as I was not certain what he needed it for. Here is a sampling of the garments I gave to him:

Yes, that is me in the images although I daresay some of them were taken in a most unflattering light.

Imagine my surprise when Remus met me at the gates in the guise of a woman! Why, I could scarcely gift him with the clothing and the large, expensively packaged present that Lucius bade me give to Remus from him on account of the surprise I felt!

He explained to me what happened and was very appreciative for the clothing. We had a nice chat about female things and it was very refreshing to actually have someone (relatively) female to discuss such things with. After we conversed for a bit Remus gave me a present for my birthday - a vintage Silver Arrow!

I was ever so nervous about it as I have never flied before! It is a very elegant broom and obviously expensive so I did not want to not use the gift. In addition, what Remus said to me earlier about possibly flying becoming a mother-son even made me realize that I should get over my fears and try to learn how to fly.

We started off very slow and flew close to the ground. I was terrified but it was exhilerating at the same time.

The lesson, however, was over when I got a splinter.

I am so very tired right now, having just returned to the Manor after a very eventful day. My son did not contact me at all today but I am not going to dwell on that until tomorrow. I am exhausted.

A thousand thank-yous, Narcissa, for your help and advice this evening. I am sorry to have startled you - you can imagine my own surprise upon waking up and finding myself in this state. The clothes... are very generous of you, and I shall do my best with them. But bless you for the bra. I was looking into a modified Wingardium leviosa as a last resort, but did not relish the idea of walking about resembling the prow of a ship. Someone could have lost an eye.

I am very pleased that you liked your present, and you are too hard on yourself. You're an excellent flyer. You may want to invest in some proper flying gear if you plan to take up the hobby seriously. For one thing, you need proper gloves. To prevent splinters, of course.

I look forward to seeing you again soon, and meeting Echo. It goes without saying that I have a particular affinity with dogs. It will be interesting to get to know your new charge.

Oh, and tell your husband that his 'present' is highly amusing, he's a card, and I will of course repay him in kind.

Cheers,
-Remus

Remus,

You're quite welcome. If you require any other clothing I am sure I have other garments I could loan you. I apologize that some of them weren't your colour as I had no idea that you needed them for yourself. Do not feel as though you have to apologize to me for surprising me; you had quite a day of it as it was.

I do like my present very much and I shall take your advice about buying proper flying attire. I feel foolish for not having a pair of gloves with me as a lady should never travel without but have been so very upset by Draco's silence toward me that I could not bear to wear dragonhide as it reminds me so of him. In addition to that, I sent him new gloves on a regular basis and the correlation betwixt that and his unusual aloof stance toward me is just so-

I'm sorry; you have enough to worry about than to listen to me complain about my own problems.

Perhaps we can get together this weekend and you could meet Echo. She enjoys 'talking' back and is rather adorable.
