Rejuvinated
My how time simply flies when one is having so much fun. I do believe I may finally be fully recovered from Remus's housewarming party. The details of that evening are honestly a bit fuzzy, darlings, but there are a few things I do remember and look back upon the events fondly. For one thing, I was absolutely stunning. Naturally this should not come as a shock to anyone as I am naturally beautiful and alluring. The gown I was wearing, however, perhaps made me that much more ethereal than I usually appear. A special design just for me by that clever and cutting-edge couture designer Vivienne Westwitch (and thank you my darling husband for being so very thoughtful and having this masterpiece commissioned for your masterpiece) had concocted, I was adorned in the most delicious lavender silk gauze that was so light it felt as though I were wearing nothing but air. No lady's outfit is complete without the perfect accessories and I wore my brand new amethyst choker (consisting of a layer of twelve scores, the point reaching to the middle of my decollotage -- one can never accentuate the bosom too much you know and when one's breasts are as perfect as mine it would be a crime not to do so), bracelet, and the most divine teardrop earrings. The shoes were Mandrako Blahnik, of course. Are there any other shoe designers worth mentioning? I think not.

Remus's new home was so very quaint. I simply adored it although I did get the feeling that Lucius was not nearly as enthralled with the estate as I was. The house has a lot of potential to be a stunning bit of interior designed Heaven. Once Remus and Sirius are all settled in I think I shall offer to acquire them a decorator.

Speaking of Sirius and Remus, I think I ought to look into another gala of sorts to celebrate the impending union. After all, Narcissa Malfoy knows how to host a proper gala.

Lucius is awaiting my arrival in the dining hall so it would do me well to end this entry now.

Oh, Draco darling? Do let me know if you have received the extra sets of robes that you requested of me. You mother loves you, Little Dragon. Don't you forget that. Shan'd you write Mummy a post about some of the lovely girls you've taken an interest in? I am clinging to the hope that you will one day soon fulfill your promise to me.

Little Dragon loves you, too.

Miss Bulstrode:

I do hope you are making use of the dress robes I gifted to you. You make such a lovely Autumn.

Narcissa Malfoy

P.S. I am aware that my Little Dragon cares greatly for his Mummy. I am pleased that you thought to reassure me, however. Very thoughtful of you, indeed.

It is spring.

I do not want my robes to go against the higher powers.

I am always thoughtful.

If you like I'm sure that Miss Parkinson, who did take time to learn how to adjust one's colours to the corresponding season from yours truly, can help you adapt your cosmetics to work with a Spring palette.

Mother, I thought we agreed it was best that you stop calling me that in public.

Your pride and joy,
Draco

Did we, darling? Any agreement of that sort has slipped my mind. I don't see what is so wrong about it. Your name does mean dragon and you are my sweet little boy. If you truly prefer that I stop refering to you as such in public I fear I shall have to revert back to your childhood nickname of Drakie-do. Shall I do that, cherub?

Love,
Mother

No, Mother, that's really not necessary.

blondenarcissa @ 2003-03-30 08:25 pm UTC

So you don't mind if Mother still occassionally calls you Little Dragon, then?

By the by, I forgot to mention that I also sent out a small packet of necessities for you - those imported bananas you so fancy, a new pair of dragon hide gloves (I know your father just sent you a pair not too long ago but one can never get enough dragon hide), rare potions ingredients, and a little something extra to perhaps aid you in your quest to live up to your promise to me.

Actually, Mother, I think I've discovered I'm allergic to bananas. As far as fruits go, I'd infinitely prefer oranges. I'll be on the lookout for your package, lest any of the house-elves steal it before it comes in. I think I've seen some of them spying on my owl in an attempt to grab it before it gets to me.

Your mistreated son,
Draco

I shall send a package of oranges straight away, dear. What is wrong with the House Elves at Hogwarts? At least the ones here in Malfoy Manor know their place. Will you be needing me to send you an elf from home to attend to your needs? Your father and I will spare one for you if you like.

Love,
Mother

Unfortunately, though it's something I've considered before, Father tried sending one last term and it became terribly annoying and had to be banished to the Leaky Cauldron. Elves and I just don't get along, which is the natural order.

Your favourite son,
Draco

Drakie-do is allergic to bananas.

I do not know where to begin the mocking.

Just because my immune system isn't as thick as yours, that doesn't mean you have to be spiteful.

Nobody is allergic to bananas.

Not even individuals who prefer spherical fruits.

It is quite funny how you have suddenly become so allergic after eating so many of them in the past, but perhaps that has something to do with it.

Ah, Narcissa, so glad to see you're back.

And if you're really keen on another gala, I'm sure Remus would really appreciate a bridal shower. But as not to insult his sensibilities we should think of something more masculine to call it. Though, the man is obsessed with some silly silver cake implement from Neiman Marcus, so I fail to see why he'd mind, but there you go.
