Current mood: cold

Is it really nearly December!
Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw had a good match Saturday. The stands weren't very full, I swear Hogwarts is mad sometimes, they only show up if they think there's going to be blood. Anyway it was a really decent match, I had a lot of fun, only it was terribly cold outside, so Evan and Luna and I all got under his cloak. Despite what everyone seems to think, about Evan fancying me, I don't think it's true. We're only just teammates, unlike some, I suppose.

Hermione had to miss the match 'cos she had detention with Filch, so she was on the fourth floor for the whole weekend helping to restore portraits. She says she has three more nights of detention to do, which I don't think is fair, that's just an awful lot, and she's a prefect anyway, she doesn't have that much spare time, she looks totally run ragged. She seems sort of sad as well, but I reckon that's just 'cos of unrequited love. I've been telling her she should bottle and sell that potion she botched (I bet Fred and George would sell loads of it!) but she refuses to lest she become a lush or something, I don't know. I don't think she's so bad for going out drinking on Halloween, don't loads of students do it? Head Boy, I bet you've done it too. Hermione just gets punished more severely 'cos she's supposed to be a role-model or something. She was trying to make a Wit-Sharpening Potion after all and not an Inner Desires Potion or what have you, after all. Anyway I think I may go visit her over Christmas break, if she's not totally mad by then. The Burrow's bound to be crowded as it ever is this year so maybe I'll just get away for a while, if that's okay, Mum and Dad. Cho can sleep in my room, which should be all right now, and not scandalous or anything. She may want to stay in Charlie's though, who knows really.

I always really look forward to Christmas but it's kind of crept up on me this year. I've really got to get busy! Pansy, if you're reading this, I wonder if we could set up a shopping date. I'd like your advice, you have really great taste and you definitely seem to know what boys like, not to mention my dear old dad!

wehaveseven @ 2003-11-24 10:35 pm UTC

Oh, are you expecting something, then?

(parent)
blushcrush @ 2003-11-24 10:45 pm UTC

What, were you?

(parent)
wehaveseven @ 2003-11-24 11:06 pm UTC

Elders automatically get a present for every year they've been alive so I'm looking forward to a big pile, thanks, chicken.

What's all this nonsense?

(parent)
blushcrush @ 2003-11-24 11:08 pm UTC

You're lying, Dad, don't be silly.

Uh actually I don't know if I'm supposed to comment anymore. If Hermione's not too angry at me though can I go to her house over hols?

(parent)
wehaveseven @ 2003-11-24 11:19 pm UTC

Can I come too?

(parent)
moaningmyrtle @ 2003-11-24 11:24 pm UTC
:(

me too?

lockerygildhart @ 2003-11-24 11:26 pm UTC

Hello!

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-24 10:24 pm UTC

Hermione actually drank that stuff?

blushcrush @ 2003-11-24 10:28 pm UTC

No not at all, it was just the fumes! I don't know about Professor Snape though!

I like your icon veru much!

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-24 10:58 pm UTC

Oh, Professor Snape drank thPROFESSOR SNAPE DRANK THE POTION?

(parent)
potions_master @ 2003-11-24 11:10 pm UTC

Miss Patil:

I am not sure why on earth you think I would drink a potion that is, firstly, well above boiling temperature, and secondly, of unknown properties. I might not remember that night, but there are some things one does not do. The effect of the fumes, regrettably, cannot be doubted. Nor can Granger's miserable blundering.

Ten points from Gryffindor for unbecoming curiosity. Drop the matter at once.

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-24 11:22 pm UTC

I hope curiosity kills your cat for that totally unfair points swipe. Karma, Professor. Karma.

(parent)
potions_master @ 2003-11-24 11:31 pm UTC

I hope you fail Potions for this term for daring to question my authority.

Brains, Patil. Brains.

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-24 11:38 pm UTC

Well, you're the one marking my paper, Professor. Perhaps I should make sure Professor Black has seen this comment? McGonagall too, and maybe Dumbledore, just to be safe?

Touchy, Professor. Touchy.

(parent)
potions_master @ 2003-11-25 12:02 am UTC

By all means, show it to whomever you like. I assure you it will make no difference at all.

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-25 12:13 am UTC

Eh, I know I'm going to pass this year anyway, glare at me gloomily and doomily all you want. Professor.

(parent)
potions_master @ 2003-11-25 12:26 am UTC

Or perhaps it is time for a stroll to visit your head of House. Do accompany me, Miss Patil.

As I have the inestimable pleasure of Potter's company tonight, you may grace my presence tomorrow night in detention. So many Gryffindors on the timetable. I am a lucky man indeed.

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-25 12:33 am UTC

Ugh, should've expected that.

(parent)
scotchtartan @ 2003-11-25 12:28 am UTC

Two points from Gryffindor, Patil. There will be no more ill-wishes on Professor Snape's cat.

Professor M. McGonagall

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-25 12:33 am UTC

But Professor! Karma!

(parent)
scotchtartan @ 2003-11-25 12:38 am UTC

Karma can see me when it becomes a member of Gryffindor House. Professor Snape is a professor and you are to treat him with as much respect as you would any other member of the Hogwarts staff. In addition, the feline is a creature worthy of equal treatment.

Professor M. McGonagall

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-25 12:41 am UTC

Yes, Professor.

(parent)
missgranger @ 2003-11-24 10:32 pm UTC

Of course I didn't!!

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-24 10:47 pm UTC

Why wouldn't you have, if you thought it was for that wit thing? Surely, you, Hermione, wouldn't overlook that kind of chance, hmm?

(parent)
missgranger @ 2003-11-24 10:57 pm UTC

Because Professor Snape came In before the potion was cool Enough to drink, Parvati.

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-24 11:04 pm UTC

With the way you were throwing down those Flaming Shots at Hogsmeade, I wouldn't think that would Worry you.

(parent)
missgranger @ 2003-11-24 11:14 pm UTC

I could say the Same for you!

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-24 11:18 pm UTC

I wouldn't mind trying an Inner Desires potion! Do you have any Left, just curiously?

(parent)
missgranger @ 2003-11-24 11:23 pm UTC

No, and also Professor Snape has my notes.

However, I wonder if you'd meet me in the common room shortly anyway, Parvati?

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-24 11:29 pm UTC

Why, of course! Down shortly!

(parent)
missgranger @ 2003-11-24 10:35 pm UTC

Ginny, honestly, I know I didn't specifically mention that you weren't to tell anyone about the potion, but you could at least practise a little discretion. I am not in love and I am not selling that silly potion and I am not being punished unfairly.

blushcrush @ 2003-11-24 10:43 pm UTC

Oh. I'm really sorry Hermione. You know I didn't mean to say anything wrong. I'll delete the post if you like, just say the word.

I still think you should patent your potion, though!

(parent)
missgranger @ 2003-11-24 10:48 pm UTC

It's a bit late for that now, isn't it?

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-24 10:45 pm UTC

Who's the lucky boy, Hermione!?!

(parent)
missgranger @ 2003-11-24 10:46 pm UTC

There's no lucky boy, Parvati, I think Ginny misunderstood what I told her.

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-24 10:49 pm UTC

:/ Lucky girl, then?

(parent)
missgranger @ 2003-11-24 10:54 pm UTC

Er no, definitely no lucky girl either.

(parent)
divineparvati @ 2003-11-24 10:59 pm UTC

I see.

(parent)
missgranger @ 2003-11-24 10:39 pm UTC

Furthermore it's not called an Inner Desires Potion, that makes it sound much creepier than it really is, thank you.

blushcrush @ 2003-11-24 10:45 pm UTC

Well I thought that's what it did! Allow you to succumb to your inner desires I mean! What d'you want me to call it, then? I can make labels up for it, you know!

(parent)
missgranger @ 2003-11-24 10:49 pm UTC

Please, just stop.

(parent)
potions_master @ 2003-11-24 10:57 pm UTC

Yes, Miss Weasley. By all means, do stop.

Now.

(parent)

blushcrush @ 2003-11-24 11:03 pm UTC

I'm sorry, Professor. I'm stopping. After this comment I mean. Sorry.

(parent)
jadedsirius @ 2003-11-24 11:12 pm UTC

Oh dear, oh dear.

(parent)
potions_master @ 2003-11-24 11:18 pm UTC

Shut it, Black.

(parent)
jadedsirius @ 2003-11-24 11:19 pm UTC

Oh dear.

(parent)
potions_master @ 2003-11-24 11:22 pm UTC

Your dear has left you, as well you know.

Go the hell away.

(parent)
moaningmyrtle @ 2003-11-24 11:18 pm UTC
*slosh*

disaster follows you around. maybe you're cursed.. you can come cry in my toilet if you like.

just_harry @ 2003-11-24 11:41 pm UTC

I know what you mean. Don't listen to Snape, though, he's just mad because someone made him look dumb.

potions_master @ 2003-11-25 12:04 am UTC

Detention, Potter. Tonight, directly after dinner, in my office.

Bring gloves.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-11-25 12:21 am UTC

Oh dear.

(parent)
la_pensee @ 2003-11-25 09:41 am UTC

Why Ginny, I would be ever so delighted to spend an afternoon shopping with you. I am quite fond of buying new clothes, unfortunately, Millicent is not particularly. Perhaps we could set it up for this weekend, or if not that, the next? In any case, why don't we get together for lunch and compare schedules.

PS. I do hope your father is well.

blushcrush @ 2003-11-25 08:21 pm UTC

I'm really looking forward to it!
