Current mood: restless

Home sweet home.
Well, some holiday this has been so far. A couple of days ago, everyone was really worried because of Pettigrew, but it seems to have calmed down a little. For a while, loads of people were here, we were all crammed around the table in layers, talking, and even though everyone was buzzing about it at first, it was fun. Mum, Hermione, and I made a huge dinner while everyone was here and you've got to admit it was brilliant! Hermione's staying with us again this year. Her parents must be nervous but Hermione says it's all right, and I think it would bother her if she weren't here, in contact with everyone, knowing what's going on. Though, it seems kind of funny that we aren't all gathered around the table with Charlie and Cho, making paper cranes. Now that most everyone's left, and it's just me and Mum and Dad and Ron and Hermione, I feel sort of restless. I'm so used to home being bustling, and I wish that Bill, Charlie, Percy, and the twins would all come home, too. I miss them! Of course everyone's too busy with work and/or secret hag lovers and birthday parties they weren't invited to.

Although, this does mean I got more than my share of Mum's fantastic chocolate eggs, so that's what you lot get for not coming home for Easter! I probably had too many really, but I did send one on to Evan, hopefully it didn't get melty or smashed.

I miss Evan, but Mum won't let me invite him over for even a day. Not fair! At least Hermione's sympathetic about it, Ron's totally hopeless. He got an owl toting some sort of fancy sweets from Parvati on Sunday so he's been gloating about it since. Well, if I had my way I'd get Mum to let Evan, Ernie, and Parvati all come stay with us so we could lay in the living room in sleeping bags and pyjamas like on the excursion, but I suppose we'll all be in school again soon enough. I wish I could have seen more of my brothers, especially since I'll be back at school on the twenty-second so I won't get to see any of them then either.

Anyway, the WWN is totally useless, if they don't stop playing that Gladrags advert I'll really throttle them. I've had it stuck in my head for days but we're keeping the radio on just in case of any news. This morning Hermione told me I muttered it in my sleep and I'm really not surprised!

Virginia,

I, too, regret my inability to visit the Burrow more often. Alas, working at the Ministry is no hobby! It is a full time endeavour. It is only natural that William would not have time to return home. His work with Gringotts is actually quite fascinating. I believe he is a large asset to them. While I would not personally choose Charles's line of work, I am to understand that he enjoys it quite greatly. If it is his wish to work with dragons, he should by all means be where they are. As for Frederick and George, I am afraid they simply have no excuse.

If you would like, I am certain that I could find the time to make another sojourn home before your holidays are over. Perhaps we could discuss your Transfiguration work.

Fondly,
Percy

UGH. Fred and George are ALWAYS BUSY Gin, trust me. They're as workaholic as Perce, don't you think?

Don't think I didn't notice you slipped a mention of your birthday in! Give it a rest!
