Stars.
My lantern is done! I'm very relieved that it turned out like it did, since I hurried through the painting. Chang Er took the longest; I also painted a pagoda and the Chinese character for "stars"...



with some constellations around it. I put a sparkling charm on them so they glitter like real stars do. I spent a long time on it, but I've seen some people in the Great Hall working on some really brilliant lanterns, so I'm quite sure I won't even be close to winning.

I spent far too long in the library reading about Chinese constellations. I'd like to learn more about Chinese divination, I think.

If you'll pardon me, I'm going go to finish up a note.
