I missed it! *cries*
Yesterday, Ron and Harry and Hermione all played Quidditch against Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, and Millicent Bulstrode! How I wish I could have seen it! Nobody told me they were going to play, though. I was too busy talking to Soblessa to see them leave - if I'd have seen them, I would have followed them! Ron always gets to have all the fun! He said nobody won, though. I bet Malfoy was playing really dirty.

Virginia, I'm shocked and vaguely disappointed that you wish to have followed Ronald to this Quidditch match. Ronald, Harry, and Hermione were blatantly breaking the rules, and you certainly should not wish to have been a part of it. I am quite certain that Ronald's influence on you is a dire one. I recommend that you look to me for a fine example of behaviour, or perhaps William in his days at Hogwarts.
Fondly,
Percy

WHEN HAS PLAYING QUIDDITCH EVER BEEN AGAINST THE RULES!?
Shut up, Percy.
Love,
Ron.

Ronald, I like to think myself a docent to you and Virginia during your final years at Hogwarts. Rising to Draco Malfoy's hubris is simply an ignominy to Gryffindor. It is, in fact, against the rules to utilise the Quidditch equipment for non-official purposes.
Sternly,
Percy

Oh, Percy! :( They didn't mean to break rules. I'm sure they didn't know. Especially Hermione. And I wouldn't have broken any rules by watching them! I just wanted to be there for the excitement! Don't be such a fuss-budget!
Love,
Ginny

I must confess, I feel inveighed, Virginia. I am simply trying to look out for you and ensure that you do not find yourself mixed up with a meretricious sort.
Professionally,
Percy

Percy? What do "inveighed" and "meretricious" mean?
Love,
Ginny
knight_to_h3 @ 2002-10-16 05:06 pm UTC |
It means, "My name is Percy and I am the most boring sod on earth and everyone should ignore me".

Ronald, your turpitude grows with each year you do. Your behaviour is decidedly not on. Not on.

IF YOU CAN'T TALK LIKE A NORMAL PERSON THEN DON'T TALK, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Virginia! I am surprised at you. Have you not been reading any of the dictionaries I sent you at all? Mother found one beneath a post of your bed at the Burrow recently, so I've sent it off to Hogwarts, as you obviously forgot it.
To inveigh means to attack verbally. You should know this, Virginia.
Meretricious is an adjective meaning deceitful or tawdry.
Inveighed,
Percy

I'm sorry, Percy! The dictionaries come in really handy, I promise. I didn't forget the dictionary... I just... didn't have room for it.
Thank you for the definitions. Ron says meretricious has something to do with prostitutes... why do you know all these words? Like bawds?
Love,
Ginny

What a shame, Mr. Weasley. Every Ministry worker should have a bawd or two. You may want to ask Minister Fudge about that. Surely he'll be able to give you the information you need.

:D Ron's a good player! I wish I could have watched the game! I'd like to see you on a broom! :)
