Christmas at the Burrow!
Happy Christmas!!!

I'm so glad to be home. I missed my mum and dad and my own little room and my own little bed and the smell of Mum baking Christmas bread and crossing my fingers for snow and whispering about presents. Dad, Ron, and I all went out to look for a tree today. We found one that's almost perfect, only it's so tall that we can hardly fit it in the house! The tip of it's all bent over, so there's nothing on the top. Ron and I strung popcorn (but Ron ate most of it) and Percy directed where to hang things on the tree. He can be awfully... precise and all. Bill always laughs at it, but I guess the tree turned out really nice in the end.

Just a bit ago, Mum pulled the organ out from the wall and charmed it to play Christmas carols! The one about the three wise wizards is my very favourite. I can never remember anything but the first two lines.

It is a known fact (or if it's not, it should be) that Weasley men can't wrap. In the past three days I have wrapped so many gifts on the sly for my brothers that I cannot even remember them all. We're doing a gift exchange, which should be great fun! I've got mine all wrapped up, too, and also one for Hermione! Hermione's coming over for Christmas dinner tomorrow and is going to stay the night in my room for Boxing Day! I'm so excited that she'll be spending at least a bit of the holiday with us! I really like having another girl around the house sometimes, it sort of balances things out a little more. I do wish Harry would have come as well. Maybe he'll come next year. I really hope so. Christmas is so fun and everyone here just loves him, so I think he would have a nice time. Oh, and Penelope is coming as well! I hope I get to sit next to her. Our table is going to be so very crowded.

Oh, Dad wants the computer again. He can't seem to stay away from it. He keeps sending me naughty forwards! He loves Muggle technology. He is fascinated by email and peeking in on the lives of Muggles, but really mostly he just plays Ski Free and expresses his profound disenchantment with the monster that gobbles the little skiing person up at the end. I think it's kind of cute. Dad, I mean, not the monster. :)

Oh. Well, I suppose you're busy having fun this Christmas, with Hermione and all. That's good. I'll see you next term... I hope.

Uhm. If I give you your gift to wrap will you promise not to look at it?

I do try to be precise. I am quite glad you have noticed, Virginia; you are turning out to be very observant, despite Ronald's influences on you. Have you buried yourself in the book I gave you yet?

Well, I read it for a little while last night, but I fell asleep. :) It's a really nice book, Percy, thank you! I promise I'll tell you when I have finished it.
