I slept quite well last night, thank you.

This morning I woke up, took a bath, and towel-dried my hair. I've discovered that if I cast the componere spell on my robes they button themselves. It's quite handy, really. I had breakfast with Dennis. I hate eggs. They're runny and undercooked. Today in Transfiguration class I transfigured my workbench into a giant tortoise. No one else was sitting on it, so it wasn't a big deal. The tortoise shell was actually quite comfy, and it didn't seem to mind, although McGonagall wasn't too happy that I didn't transfigure it back right away. Ah, the adventure! Never a day goes by without a thrill at this crazy school!

But honestly, chums. It's been such a nice, peaceful, relaxing few days. I'd be quite happy to go on this way for the rest of my stay here at Hogwarts. Really.
