Huh...
Funnily it didn't occur to me that it was nearing the Christmas season until a few weeks ago when I started receiving cards from relatives who are still, after all this time, wishing me to "get well soon". You think they'd have expected some sort of update in my condition by now, but I guess the "long, extended illness" bit is still working out for Mum and Dad.

Anyway, the cards were stuffed with quite a few pounds so I changed it over to galleons in Hogsmeade and purchased some gifts for all my mates in the dorm, plus Terry. I also bought a Christmas present for myself, since I'd be very shocked to actually receive anything from the parentals. It's a really handsome calligraphy set with colour-changing ink. Nice!

It was a bit odd to not be shopping for Mum, at least. Never knew what Dad really wanted so I got him a magazine subscription every year, but I saw this scarf in Madam Puddifoots that Mum would have been keen on: goldy-hued silk with a fairy-wing insignia in the corner. It's a touch wizardy looking, but she loved anything gold.

Well the hols should be ace here in the castle. Will stay in my pyjamas and practice calligraphy by day, then bash about the castle and raid the kitchens with Terry by night.
