Ooooh. The Bleu Ball!
How absolutely wonderful!!! I've been thrilled of course since the announcement was made! It's just given me so many more important things to do than write in this journal. I've had my eye on gowns for a while now, just in case something like this were to happen, but I'm still unable to decide between two fabulous dresses. I must ask Lavender for her opinion tonight. And then of course I have to choose the perfect matching necklace, select the right pair of shoes, ... and I still need to find someone to go with! Oh, there's just so many decisions to be made within the next two weeks!!! I simply don't have enough time! I must take another look at those gowns now.

do you think wearing a bracelet and a necklace would be too much? my mother sent a matching set with me for special occasions, but i'm not sure if i would be overaccessorising. i don't really know anything about dressing up...

Hi, Susan.

Well, I'm immediately inclined to say that it would not be overaccessorizing at all to wear both a bracelet and a necklace. Without seeing the actual jewelry in question, though, I can't answer with absolute certainty. It depends on a number of factors, most importantly that the set matches well with the gown you've selected, and that neither one is too flashy.

I'm fairly certain though that wearing both articles of jewelry would be perfectly tasteful. If you'd like to talk about it more specifically, I'd be glad to discuss it with you some time after class tomorrow. :)

oh.. well, i wasn't thinking of wearing a gown.. i was thinking more along the lines of dress robes? i didn't know we were going to have to wear gowns! um, do i need to get a gown? my dress robes are blue. should i not be wearing blue? oh gosh.

tomorrow.. sure, that would be great. :) um, should i bring my jewellery?

Hmmmmm. Let's see now. Well, we can just talk about the whole thing tomorrow afternoon and settle it all then. :) Please do bring the matching bracelet and necklace. That way we can discuss what color robes or gown would coincide best with your jewellery.
