Well, I just got back from Creevey's meeting. We didn't really do anything except stand around waiting for Malfoy, and deciding whether or not we should have a treasurer to buy snacks every week. We decided more people like chocolate sweets than fruit flavoured ones, except Lavender Brown says we have to have some pink sweets because if it's all chocolate everyone will get sick of that. Oh, and Creevey says we've had too much pumpkin juice, so we're going to try kumquat juice next week, and if that doesn't work out we'll try potato juice but that doesn't sound very promising.
Malfoy didn't even show up till half nine, some czar he is. Then he just stood in the back for ten minutes filing his nails with some thing I thought was a knife, and then he said the meeting was over and left. Well, that's really great, isn't it? What a great example.
My mum keeps writing me asking me if I'm bringing Susan home over the summer hols, so I'm just mentioning it here so Susan will read it so I don't have to bring it up to her face.

Since you've nothing better to do than attend stupid meetings I think you should do the Astronomy work alone!!!
finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-15 06:19 pm UTC |
Well how was I supposed to know the observatory was going to be full? Look, I'll just meet you in the courtyard, okay?
(parent) knight_to_h3 @ 2003-05-16 03:25 am UTC Re: |
No! No kay! You do it alone if you're so free, or maybe you can partner with Colin instead!
(parent)finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-16 10:09 am UTC |
No way, you're my partner. I'm not doing this whole thing by myself. When's a good time for you?
(parent) knight_to_h3 @ 2003-05-16 10:22 am UTC Re: |
How's 13pm sound?? You idiot, I'm asking Professor Sinistra to switch partners!!!
(parent)finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-16 10:29 am UTC |
Fine, maybe you can afford to fail, but I can't. I'll do it myself.
(parent) knight_to_h3 @ 2003-05-16 10:31 am UTC Re: |
If you're stupid enough to join Colin's club, you don't need anyone's help to fail!!
(parent)finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-16 08:36 pm UTC |
Hey, I think YOU'RE the one trailing in grades. See if you can find anyone better. Go on! Do it!
(parent)finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-15 08:38 pm UTC |
Well, I wasn't aware I'm not allowed to have my own preferences!
(parent)susanbones @ 2003-05-15 09:31 pm UTC |
thats not very nice. :( leave him alone! he doesnt have to drink it!
(parent)erniemacmillan @ 2003-05-15 08:57 pm UTC |
Unimpressed, Justin. I can't believe you went to that meeting. That whole operation could go under at any time and you'll be caught in the rubble.
finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-15 09:03 pm UTC |
What would you have me do, be on Potter's side? Or do nothing at all? Silence implies consent.
(parent)erniemacmillan @ 2003-05-15 09:06 pm UTC |
I'm not talking about Potter at all. I'm talking about a little something called fascism. You think when this thing goes down you won't be taking the fall for it? Look around you, man! You're the only Hufflepuff there. When the administration decides to bring down the boot, I can tell you now you'll be going down with it. All for a bit of kumquat juice.
(parent)finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-15 09:12 pm UTC |
But who knows what they would do if an entire house was left out of the campaign. We could be next! Sure, right now it's just anti-Potter, but next week it could be anti-Hufflepuff, for all we know. I think it's best that I stay in and represent our house.
(parent)erniemacmillan @ 2003-05-15 09:14 pm UTC |
If you say so, Justin. I mean, I sure wouldn't want to get the blame for starting an anti-Potter club, not with all the backing he has, but hey, I'm not you. I'm just trying to watch your back. I'll still be your friend if you have detention all through seventh year.
(parent)erniemacmillan @ 2003-05-15 09:16 pm UTC |
Hey, I'm not saying anything at all. Sure, it'll be hard being condemned to detention for a whole term, but you'll probably get used to it. We'll come visit you when we can, me and Susan will. I'm sure your mum and dad will get over it, too.
(parent)finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-15 09:20 pm UTC |
I don't even know how to quit, Ernie. I'll bet you anything they did this on purpose.
(parent)erniemacmillan @ 2003-05-15 09:21 pm UTC |
There's a boy. You're right, you know, this might be part of Creevey's plan. He sets you up to join while he goes off to follow Malfoy, then he lets you take the fall for it. I always thought there was something a little queer about Creevey. Evil overlord, you think?
(parent)susanbones @ 2003-05-15 09:22 pm UTC |
i was thinking about going to the next one...! its a good thing i didnt!
(parent)erniemacmillan @ 2003-05-15 09:26 pm UTC |
Well, I can see why you would, after Potter used you like that. Didn't he even ditch you at the Bleu Ball so he could go fight with Malfoy? And then he never even came back and got you. That's low.
(parent)susanbones @ 2003-05-15 09:36 pm UTC |
yeah. :( i didnt know harry was nasty. :( i thought he was nice.
(parent)finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-15 09:38 pm UTC |
Sure, I thought he was nice too. But you can't deny the evidence. He's no good, Susan.
(parent)finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-15 09:24 pm UTC |
It makes sense. Him and that camera, always watching. That fanboy act was just a sham. Maybe he never liked Potter to begin with, and was biding his time until he could form this little anti-Potter community. Well, I'm not going to a part of any Dark Arts crusade. They can handle this without Hufflepuff support.
(parent)erniemacmillan @ 2003-05-15 09:27 pm UTC |
That's the spirit. I think it's best if we just stay far away from Potter. You never know.
(parent)finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-15 09:40 pm UTC |
Are you sure? You know my parents are Muggles, right?
(parent)finch_fletchley @ 2003-05-15 09:44 pm UTC |
"Neat" isn't really the word I would use, but I think having you over will make the hols less painful.
