Valentine's Day has been and gone, leaving a stewed mess of disappointed hopefuls and lovesick couples.

I actually find V-Day nausating...maybe it's the cynic in me.

The girls' soiree was a surprise by being so pleasant. Mrs Malfoy was a charming and lovely hostess - and Malfoy Manor, despite the gargoyles, was architecturally stunning.

But now, it's back to the proverbial grindstone. While Herbology, Transfiguration, Astrology, Potions and History of Magic are under control -- I'm having trouble in Charms and Defense Against The Dark Arts. I may have to discuss any extra work that I could possibly do with Professor Lupin.

The explicitly cheerful Professor Black seems pleased with the progress that Hermione, Seamus and I are making in the Animagus department.

I can almost go fully to otter form now, which is the oddest feeling I think I've ever hand in my entire life, but in a good way. In a magical, beautiful way.
