Well. Back to Hogwarts. I have mixed feelings about this. I have mixed feelings about the people I will be working with. I have mixed feelings about keeping a journal, for that matter; the public one as well as this personal one. But I have been told that it may help me "reconnect with my feelings." A load of rubbish if you ask me. Like anyone else here has lost twelve years of their lives to the dementors. I shall deal with it like I always have.
The satisfaction of taking the DADA position that Snape has been lusting after for years is tempered by the fact that I now must work with the greasy git. I don't know how I shall manage to stand seeing his sneering face every time I turn around. I can just console myself with the fact that he despises me being here as much as I despise him.
Off to find Remus.

Oh. I have some bad news. I showed Uncle Vernon the will that says that you are my legal guardian, and he kind of didn't take it too well. And, I could tell you about it, but if it's going to be a bother and all, you know, it's no big deal. I mean, it's only another summer is all. Well, two summers. And then I'll be old enough to live wherever I want to anyway. So if it's a problem, that's okay.

I suppose there are some benefits to this medium.
First of all, I shall be happy to speak directly to your "uncle" Vernon about my status as your guardian. I am sure I will be able to convince him of the error of his ways. Hopefully I can resist the urge to modify his appearance too much. I heard about Hagrid giving your cousin a tail; I belive a pig snout would suit your overstuffed uncle.
However: I shall be remaining at Hogwarts over the summer and you are more than welcome to stay. It is entirely up to you, but I would be glad of a chance to spend time with you.
I am afraid that you should address me as Professor in classes. Certain other faculty members will be furious enough with the favoritism he feels you already receive. When we are alone, however, you can address me as Sirius or whatever you like.
Being able to see you again makes the other irritations of being at Hogwarts worthwhile. I am proud to be your godfather.
Do enjoy the Firebolt. And make sure to thoroughly trounce Slytherin with it. Maybe one of these days I can have a go on it? If I'm not too old and decrepit...

Oh! I can't believe I almost forgot! Thank you for the new broom! It was awful riding that Nimbus after my Firebolt broke last year.

Hello!!! This is Lavender Brown, chairman of the LTF Love The Froggies! club ^_^ As we all know, Trevor has been murdered yesterday by Draco Malfoy who is a mean, horrible boy.
