A quiet yet eventful Christmas, this year.
Harry decided to stay at Hogwarts for the break, and he and I got to spend some much-needed time together. I quite enjoyed it, though I feel that I will never be able to be what he really needs. He misses his parents so much, yet he never even knew them. My heart breaks for him sometimes.
After Harry went off to sleep on Christmas night, I went to a place on the roof, where I used to go to think as a student. It was very cold, so I transformed to my Animagus form, and just sat and looked at the night sky. It was so incredibly quiet and serene.
Apparently I'm not the only one who remembers that spot. Remus found me there. I don't know how long he'd been there before he spoke.
We had a long overdue talk. Which turned into an argument, of course. Many words were said, which needed to be said. I've behaved terribly. I've treated him badly, though I thought I was doing the right thing at the time. But then the strangest thing happened. He forgave me.
I don't deserve it. I don't deserve him. But it seems we were meant to be together.
