Yesterday I had tea with Professor Lupin and it was really nice, and my last detention is tonight, too. Except I have one with Snape tomorrow at five, and it sounds really gross but that's normal. I kept falling asleep in Potions today too, so he gave me another detention for next Saturday, so I guess I should just forget about Quidditch unless it's on Sunday or in the afternoon. The weather is getting good, it's clear out and not too windy or too bright, so I guess we'd have a practice tonight except Ron probably won't go and Evan hates practising when everyone's not there. So I'll probably just have detention and then I guess I'll go to bed at seven at night because there isn't anything else to do. I was supposed to go to Hogsmeade this weekend with Ron, Professor Vector gave us passes because it's not Hogsmeade weekend yet, but now we're not going to that either. I have to work on my Potions essay, but I can't go to the library with Hermione because she won't, so I'll probably just try and figure it out by myself. Then Snape can be happy, anyway. Oh yeah, I got the new Quidditch Monthly with the tryout stuff in it, if anyone wants to read it. I mean, I aleady read it, and I think Seamus and Dean and Colin had it at breakfast but there's only food stuck on the Prides page anyway. Maloney's staying on with the Cannons, but Puddlemere is trying to get Claiborne. I wonder what Oliver thinks, he's staying as Keeper with Puddlemere, too, and I think he likes the Cannons so I bet he wants Puddlemere to get Claiborne too. Puddlemere has a higher streak than the Cannons so it's really cool that they want one of the Cannons. I don't think the Magpies are even doing tryouts unless they're doing it really secretly, but I guess maybe they are because I heard they're political about Quidditch, it makes alot of sense too. Oh, and they had an interview with Ludo Bagman, it was really funny.

Harry -

If you're lacking something to do tonight, you're more than welcome to call by. I was rather good in Potions, as was Sirius, and I'm sure that between us we can help you get that essay squared away. And who knows, perhaps you could get some Quidditch practice in if you like - it's been ages since I've been on a broom or held a Bludger-bat, but you know what they say, it never leaves you.

i have to say I'm eager to see how the Kestrels fair this year. There's talk of them securing Eldritch from the Arrows, which would be an excellent move on their part as Eldritch has more speed in his little finger than the whole of Kenmare. Of course, I've also heard that the Harpies have been trying out a new Seeker and it's all very hush-hush, so who knows what they have up their sleeves.

However I'm confused about something - wherever did you hear that Montrose is political?

I'll see you at detention - the Crup is becoming rather fond of you, you know.

I guess I should probably do my essay on my own, cause if Snape sees I had teachers help me he'll make me make my own parchment from scratch or something as punishment. But Quidditch would be cool! I didn't know you played or anything. Anyway my essay's not due until Monday so I can work on it this weekned too.

Eldritch is good, but he should just stay on the Arrows because they always get too busy doing victory laps and then they lose, and the Kestrels aren't like that so they shouldn't have Eldritch on there. And there's no way the Harpies can get a better Seeker than Maloney, unless they're getting Viktor Krum or something, which would be kind of weird.

I think Malfoy said the Magpies were political, or maybe it was Snape, or it could have been Ron actually. Or maybe Susan, I talk to her about Quidditch alot. Oh and it might have been Seamus, he likes talking about stuff like that. I guess it could have been Dean, though, because he always points out bad stuff about Quidditch to make Seamus mad. Anyway someone said it.

And thanks. Again.

I believe you may be right about Professor Snape, Harry, and it wouldn't do to have you beating leaves with rocks or however it is that one makes parchment (see, even professors don't know everything, no matter how much they may claim to). I wish you good luck on that essay - Godric knows I don't miss having to do them.

Quidditch! Yes, once upon a time I played. I was a Beater for Gryffindor, though my career was rather short-lived. Disappearing once a month has a tendency to annoy Quidditch captains and it wasn't long before I was sacked. I'm sure I could still wipe up the pitch with you, though.

Actually, I believe the reason behind the Arrows victory laps is that the rest of the team tries to keep up with Eldritch and wind up getting too dizzy to slow down. Though if Eldritch joins the Kestrels that'd be Hewson gone, which is a shame because he's quite talented, if a little old. Though how he even has time for Quidditch with all of that charity work he does, I don't. If anyone's political (and that sounds like a Malfoyism to me - Lucius used to say the same thing when we were in school) it's that Hewson.

And really, Krum wouldn't look too out of place among some of those Harpy players, you know. The monobrow would fit right in.

PS: You're welcome, Harry. Anytime.

Er, I don't know, sorry. I guess you'd probably have to ask Professor Lupin, he made it.
