Draco, My Mother, Padma Patil
Poor Draco has had such a terrible holiday. I do hope he returns from Prefect's Duty soon so that I can give him those backrubs he likes to get rid of all that tension in his poor muscles.

Mother was quite pleased to learn of mine and Draco's decision to pursue our relationship again. She wrote me several feet of parchment on the matter and has advised me to become a housewife. Of course, I told her that it's absolutely ridiculous to plan that far ahead. Besides, I'm hoping to get an internship into the Ministry of Magic after I leave Hogwarts and there wouldn't be time to be a housewife. Draco knows all about it, and he would never want to ruin my future that way. Mother is just overbearing sometimes, but I did up a basket for her and owled it off, if a bit late.

Since yesterday was Easter, Draco and I decided to dress for lunch. He managed to convince that darling little house-elf of his to bring us lunch on a silver platter. I could tell that everyone was jealous, and it wasn't hard since we were sitting at that tiny little table Professor Dumbledore brings out during the holidays when everyone else is at home. I stayed here for Christmas one year, and it was dreadful because Draco and Millicent were both gone. Why, I spent my meals with Queenie Greengrass, if I recall. She is a nice girl, I'm not sure why she's asking to move to another dormitory.

Parvati Patil tried to give me a Death card a few days ago! She seems to think that I had something to do with the faults of the date Draco had with her sister Padma. I tried to tell her that I really had no need to do anything to poor Padma, but she wouldn't hear anything of it. She must be a very loyal sister. I hope Padma is feeling better. I would hate to think what might happen if that faulty dress of hers left a rash.

Draco and I are going into Diagon Alley today to meet with his mother, and I'm terribly excited. Narcissa Malfoy has always been one of the most composed women in our world, if not the. I am very impressed with her decision to stand for herself lately. I know my love is distraught over his parents, but I can be here for him and still be happy for Mrs Malfoy. I think I'll go bake some peanut-fudge-ripple biscuits for Draco. He likes to pretend he doesn't like them, but I know better.
