Monday with Mrs. Malfoy
Draco and I had the most lovely day with Mrs Malfoy on Monday. It seems the youth-restoring plant Draco had given her (and I don't say I wonder where he got it from, as my mother has looked for them for ages and they only seem to be in Greenhouse 4 at Hogwarts) went, well, overboard, and Mrs Malfoy looked like a sixteen-year-old girl. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered Draco's mother almost looked younger than me. She was positively radiant, of course, and had the most darling little curls.

We spent the day in Diagon Alley, and it was such a shame when Mrs Malfoy saw a dustcloth that reminded her of Mr Malfoy and got teary. She was such a brave little darling, but very soon the lady swooned and Draco had to fan her while I ran to retrieve some smelling salts. Luckily she was okay, and Draco and I dashed into Flourish and Blotts so I could pick up some reading material for today. Well, we were hardly there five minutes when Draco started glaring out the window, and then he was off! Poor little Ernie Macmillan must have found Mrs Malfoy in Diagon Alley, and, well, he seemed a bit enamoured. Draco just wouldn't hear any of it, and now he has a vendetta against poor Ernie.

We did coax Draco into buying a darling set of velvet dress robes. I do hope he wears them soon. Puce is absolutely Draco's colour.

The most exciting thing by far was when we ran into Mr Malfoy in Diagon Alley. I have only met Mr Malfoy a couple of times myself, and it's always very surprising to see him turn up. He seemed in a hurry, and my poor, sweet Draco tried to go with him but Mr Malfoy just heard nothing of it. Fortunately I was there to console him, even if he pretended he was nothing wrong. Draco is so brave.

It seems Millicent has decided to take Terry Boot up on his offer! I think this is a wise choice, as Terry is very handsome. Of course he did try to duel Draco to the death, so maybe it isn't such a nice choice. The others have come in on the Hogwarts Express, so our quiet, temporary home is no more. It is so nice here at the holidays without many people around. Now they're all back. I can hardly wait to show my adorable Draco off.

Lucius always prefers the house elves to use feather dusters when they clean the antiquities at the Manor. Dust clothes simply swirl the dust around and ingrain it into the wood. He loathes the very sight of a dust cloth and many a house elf at Malfoy Manor have either ironed their fingers as per their mistake or got caned for it. I couldn't help but feel a bit nostalgic when I saw it. You can't really blame me, can you?

The travesty.

Most certainly not, Mrs Malfoy. Mr Malfoy is lucky to have you.

I am not wearing puce. I refuse, and you can't make me.
