There really have been no noteworthy events since my visit to the Malfoys, but oh! The Malfoys do have such a lovely home and Draco's mother is the perfect role model for every woman. My own mother would not leave me alone about the occassion at all. She wanted me to report every detail, particularly with whether or not I made a good impression on Mrs. Malfoy. This, of course, is why I have taken so long to even mention the event again. My mother can be so very exhausting.
Draco recently wrote an essay for professor Black on Avada Kedavra, the killing curse, and I thought it was very well done. I was not surprised because Draco, darling, is terribly clever. My own essay focused on the Imperious curse, which I consider to be the most fascinating of the three, because to me, it seems to be the most damaging. Death is death and pain is hard to remember after it is gone, but losing your very will, being forced to do things you don't want to, that would stay with you. It is a rape of one's very sense of self. Although personally I would think that if one really wanted control over another person there would be far more fun ways to do it than that.
The weather is particularly disgusting and dreary today, but I suppose that is not surprising. I have spend most of the day in doors and before this, I was sipping tea and talking to Millicent. Speaking of Millicent, I think I shall bully her into going with me the next time we have a Hogsmeade weekend. Most of the shops are terribly drab and behind as far as fashion goes so I would never shop there for any type of clothing or accessories, but they do have quite a lovely french pastry shop, which is about the best you can get unless in France, and I do have this craving for eclairs...
