I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye...
It really figures the Lantern Festival would be on the one night I can't attend. Blasted full moon... I had a fleeting thought that it'd be nice to spend time with Sirius at something like this..

I really don't like fireworks much, anyway, I don't think. I really hope it doesn't turn out spectacular, as I'm sure it probably will. Just my luck, as per usual. There has got to be a good luck charm somewhere that'll help this seeming streak of mine. Does anyone have a good idea?

Classes are running along smoothly, and (in other news) I've finished three of the seven books I picked up in London. I suppose I'll make another trip, shortly, and I'll think to make sure Sirius comes with me.

My dearest Remus,

I also am so sorry you cannot attend. It will be dreadfully boring without you I'm sure. I hope your transformation will not be too painful this month and I will be there when you return to help you if I can.

And, I would be very happy to accompany you to London next time.

Well, as transformations go, it wasn't so bad. I survived. Sadly, my favourite chair did not. Would an obedience school admit werewolves, I wonder?

As for London, we shall have our holiday, my dear friend, and I will try not to drag you round to too many musty old bookshops if you promise not to indulge in any of your more, er, canine instincts involving parked automobiles. Or have you forgotten what happened in Dublin, 1975? Are you even allowed back in Ireland, yet?

Good to see you again, Padfoot. G
