Sirius, I look forward to seeing you in Hogsmeade. In regards to my back, I think its the stress of handling the animals. I don't know how Hagrid did it, but then again he does outweigh me a great deal, and has muscles I can't even begin to fathom.
A good massage might be just the thing. I'll also try a long soak in the bath.
Mr Malfoy: Although I appreciate the fact that you're commenting on everyone's journal with equal antipathy and affront, with the obvious exception of Professor Snape and your fellow Slytherins, I will give you the same advise I gave to Miss Brown: tone it down, please. I would expect someone of your upbringing to understand the basic matter of decorum. Then again...
Mr Longbottom: I am terribly sorry about your toad. I assure you that Mr Malfoy will not go unpunished.
Twenty points from Slytherin. Another incident like that it'll be detention and no Quidditch for a month.

I dissected that frog for Potions class! How was I supposed to know it belonged to fat old Longbottom? I needed the toadstone! And besides, Goyle made me. Goyle is my partner, and he said I had to go do ALL OF THE WORK. Because his hands are too big to use a scalpel.

You are completely within your authority as professor in this institution to assign detention and to deduct house points.
However, I do not believe I need to remind you that you cannot discipline a student by banning them from playing quidditch. According to the Hogwarts School Charter, chapter twenty-three, section nine, passages twelve to seventeen, the only ones who are authorized to ban a student from their house quidditch team are the Headmaster or the Head of House.
As much as I am certain that you would take malicious delight in preventing a sixteen year-old boy from playing quidditch, I feel compelled that you have to follow the rules just like everyone else does.
So the only ones "disciplining" Mr. Malfoy in this way are limited to Albus Dumbledore or myself. Good day.
