Current mood: numb

Honestly...
I didn't realise that it was against school rules to play Quidditch when it's not a properly sponsored match. I suppose that it rather makes a lot of sense considering the outcome of our little match. Broken bats, a lost snitch, and I had to go to the hospital wing so that Madame Pomfrey could mend my bruised ribs, an injury I sustained when the Slytherin Beater attempted to knock me off my broom. And now we're all going to have detention together. That's certain to be another lovely day.

I'm quite aware that I'm not meant to be a Quidditch player, thank you. If it weren't for Ron asking me so sweetly, I never would've tried. And then Malfoy had to go and "find" those horrid things, claiming they were Ron's! I don't see why he has to be so awful.

I'm certain I don't know, either, but it's definitely in his blood. Of course no one meant to break rules. I didn't know you got hurt playing! How positively heroic, Hermione! :) :) I wish I could have seen you play! We should play for fun sometime next summer at the Burrow!

Ms. Granger, destruction of school property is destruction of school property, no matter how you would like to slice it. While I enjoy a violent game of Quidditch as much as anyone, I'm quite sure Madam Hooch doesn't appreciate finding her property destroyed over a destroyed Charms essay and a frog spleen.

You did really good, Hermione, for never having played before. Throwing a ball around and trying to hold onto a broomstick isn't easy the first time, especially when people are trying to knock you off.

Yeah, you did well, Hermione, at least you didn't drop the ball 400 times. Oh and, uh- thanks for, you know, not believing those things are mine..
