I would like to disassociate myself with is going on in the Ravenclaw common room right now. As I am in the lab, I am not responsible for Boot, his scissors, or what might happen if the two are combined.
...
Oh, and Neville? I think I left my brush pen on your bedside table. Could you fetch it for me? Thanks.

Do you have any idea what time it is?
Look, I'll be more than happy to give you your brush pen--in class tomorrow, all right?

DEAN YOU BLOODY MORON!!! YOU GET BACK TO OUR DORM RIGHT NOW AND SAY SORRY TO SEAMUS!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THAT, ARE YOU THAT BIG AN IDIOT?!
deanthomas @ 2003-06-11 10:59 am UTC |
I've done a lot, lately. You're going to have to be more specific.

YOU KNOW WHAT I'M BLOODY TALKING ABOUT, YOU SODDING FOOL!!!
(parent)wheresmytoad @ 2003-06-11 11:15 am UTC |
Maybe we should kidnap them both, lock 'em in a room together and make them fight it out?
(parent) knight_to_h3 @ 2003-06-11 11:18 am UTC Re: |
What?! No! What if they end up killing each other?! Honestly Neville, you should have been in Slytherin!!!
(parent)wheresmytoad @ 2003-06-11 12:17 pm UTC |
I'm not saying they should fight it out and make up till they're boyfriends again. We don't have the right to tell them to do that; it isn't any of our business.
But what they're doing now is ridiculous. They should at least be able to work things out so that they can breathe the same air and sleep in the same room. At opposite ends, if need be, but still in the same room.
And if we don't make them fight it out, then what do YOU suggest?
(Slytherin??!! Me?? Bite your tongue, Ronald.)

Longbottom, Weasley, please refrain from gossiping over the lives of other students.
(parent) wheresmytoad @ 2003-06-11 12:42 pm UTC With all due respect, Professor |
we're not gossiping here. All we're trying to do is to help work out a problem between roommates.
(parent) scotchtartan @ 2003-06-11 01:39 pm UTC Re: With all due respect, Professor |

Please practise what you preach! I have been Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts for a great number of years, Longbottom, and I know enough to know that students meddling in other students' problems is what creates catastrophes.
wheresmytoad @ 2003-06-11 02:44 pm UTC Ma'am? |
Um, then that means as Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts you will be the person to deal with all of Colin Creevey's stuff that is at the moment still dumped on Dean's bed?
I'm not trying to cause problems or be cheeky at all, Professor; I just honestly want to know what--if anything--you think is acceptable for us to do about this. It's not there because Ron or I meddled with anything! On the contrary, someone else sort of made it our problem in the first place. Um, some guidance might be helpful, please?
scotchtartan @ 2003-06-11 02:52 pm UTC Re: Ma'am? |
Perhaps, Longbottom, if someone had taken the care to inform me of the matter during my clearly posted office hours I would have been aware of the situation. As it stands I do not check these journals daily and I would suggest each and every one of you keep that in mind when waiting for actions to take place based purely on the posts on this system. I will however keep in mind how exactly you wish for me to do my job. Perhaps you would like to take the matter into your own hands! Shall I hand over my office?
Professor M McGonagall

Um, I see from your latest message that you've taken care of the matter already. Thank you, Professor.
(I'm sure we're all sorry we've been testing your patience so much, ma'am. Will try not to be any further bother. And in answer to your last question, um, no.)

HOW ABOUT GETTING EVERYONE IN THE SAME ROOM TO TALK WITHOUT LOCKING ANYONE ANYWHERE?!
(parent)wheresmytoad @ 2003-06-11 12:44 pm UTC |
Fine. I'm agreeable. Seamus? Dean? Harry? All meet in the dorm room, the hour before dinner? Or any other suggested time?
missgranger @ 2003-06-11 04:59 pm UTC |
Oh, honestly. No one is allowed to change dormitories. I could have told one of you that if you had asked me.
(parent)wheresmytoad @ 2003-06-11 11:13 am UTC |
Ron's right, Dean. There's no point in this. You know you're going to have to move back in here eventually; you know you're going to have to apologize to Seamus (not to mention us, incidentally, for trying to saddle us with Colin!). Why not do what you know you're going to have to do anyway, and put an end to all this nonsense?
