Professor Snape,

In regards to your request that I speak to you this afternoon, I am busy. I have Quidditch practice. Of course, you wouldn't want your star Seeker and captain to miss out on a practice simply due to the affairs of others. I hardly think it's something that I should cancel practice for.

Thus, my 'explanation' is as follows:

As for the infamous Chudley Cannons match that everyone seems to be so hung up upon, I have no explanation, and nothing to explain for. If Potter was there, I certainly didn't see him. Perhaps Weasley sneaked out by himself. Obviously, it's not a surprise that I would miss him in the sea of Weasley-coloured robes. It's hardly my fault that he matches a Quidditch uniform.

Frankly, I don't feel I've been treated fairly in sharing Weasley's acquisition. After all, it isn't my fault he sneaked out. But again, I certainly didn't see Potter at the match. I'd like to think I'm a bit sharper than that. And what with the crowd being a size of about twenty, schoolmates would have been hard to miss.

I've better things to do than look for stray Weasleys at Cannons matches. It's not as though I spend my time seeing what the Gryffindors are up to.

You're right to suspect the Gryffindors, of course, Professor. But if you're looking to me for answers, you're evidently looking where you shouldn't be. I don't really appreciate being called into question for the matter of someone else sneaking out. Clearly, it would be easier to question the offending Gryffindor rather than myself. If you'd like, you can speak to My Father on the matter. I've a fair idea he would disapprove of my being given the third degree as well.

Draco Malfoy - Prefect, Seeker, Quidditch Captain.
