The Frame is Still Empty

I cannot bear one moment longer to stare at the blank spot on the canvas where my son's painted likeness once sat. Weetzie, the poor darling that she is, took down an image of the vandalized masterpiece so that I could show everyone once and for all the shocking and woe-begone state of the integrity of the portraits at Malfoy Manor. The level of debauchery that some of the inhabitants of the paintings here is truly very astounding.

I cannot reason with them and cannot bring myself to try any longer. Not one of them (out of the very few that I could find still in a frame throughout the house) would tell me the location of my Little Dragon's likeness nor would they divulge why he had been taken.

I am unwell and I cannot continue to tire myself out fighting a battle with painting heathons. Utterly exhausted, I dictated the beginning of this entry to Weetzie while laying underneath my duvets with both Echo and Rosie curled at my feet. I feel some of my strength returning to me and it is just as well as I do have some business to which I must attend. Earlier in the day it occurred to me that I ought to write Professor Dumbledore for assistance. Perhaps he would be willing to lend me one of his more astute and brave portraits to deal with the ingrates here at the Manor.

I shall work on this letter immediately, come to think of it. Preferably the noise in the ballroom will CEASE and desist so that I can concentrate.

I, too, am looking into the matter, my dearest. Please don't tax yourself in your delicate condition. We will solve the matter. Miss Bulstrode has decided to grace us with her presence and I shall set her to the task at hand.

Thank you, dear, for assisting me during this most trying time. Do let me know how you and Miss Bulstrode are fairing. Has the Headmaster replied to my post yet?
