I've got a meeting with Dumbledore tomorrow, so I'll be out of the office for most of the day. Hagrid's looking after my lessons. I'd still like to talk to you though, so please come by tomorrow night if you've the chance. I should be back in my rooms by around eight.

I feel that I am very close to a breakthrough. Perhaps within a day or so.

Watch yourself tomorrow, Lupin, lest you find yourself agreeing to taste-test a new kind of sherbet lemon, or arrange a shipment of socks to the school, or some other damn thing. He has his ways.

We've broken for lunch. I have to say, I wish he had offered me a sweet or socks. Anything would be preferable to this. I'm not sure what to do.

And unfortunately, I can't tell you a bloody thing about it. You can probably guess why.

Perhaps I will see you at dinner, though likely not.
