Honestly, it was just a bit of -fun-
I mean, it seemed pretty obvious to some of us that what this place needed was a little spark, a little jazz, you know, something to liven it up, give everyone something to talk about, create bonds and friendships and whatnot.
And it was a brilliant plan, as well. I got permission from Neville, and I knew the frog in question would be safe, as Lavender would rather inhale the smog in the Divination classroom than hurt one wart on that frog (heck, she'd rather inhale the smog anyway; it's a Trelawney-groupie thing, I think.)

In the end, I think my plan did suceed, as it seemingly got people talking, and well, something happened, besides classwork, Hogsmeade and not going to see the Cannons.
Of course, I didn't intend to ruin Lavender's bedsheets, but honestly...the pink threatened to blind anyone who even went near the Gryffindor dorm. It was a mercy killing.

I take full responsibility, honest, Lavender. Please, if you're going to get mad at anyone...just get mad at me, okay?
