Current mood:spent

Albus, if you've the time, I should like to see you at your earliest convenience. Better you hear this from me directly than in an owl, and I'm afraid I cannot reach a fireplace at the moment. But I have something I need to tell you, as soon as possible.

Narcissa, thank you so very much for your visit. You brightened my day with your lovely face. The biscuits were wonderful. I hope you are well.

Seamus, you are going to be an excellent Healer someday. Thank you for dropping by, and the other thing. Leigheas.

Right, I'd best have a nap before Sirius and Harry arrive. I'm utterly exhausted for some reason. I'm certain the full moon did me no favours - and no, you do not want to know the details.

Sleep is good for what ails you. And you look fine enough, full moon or no. It was my pleasure to drop by, of course.

And thank you. I certainly hope I will. You certain you can't just put in a word with Snape about me?

lupercus @ 2004-01-10 08:27 pm UTC

Sleep, and other things besides. I hope you're not still worried about my leg. It'll be all right, I just need to remember myself a bit more.

And I didn't know you'd gone blind, Finnigan. How else would you think I look fine after full moon? I have a mirror, you know. And you're a terrible liar.

What talents did you want me to inform Professor Snape of? The obvious, or the ones I don't know about?

There are no lies in the above. Are you sure your leg is fine? Very clumsy of me to have sat on it.

Yes, the obvious--my talents as a healer, which should not be held back by his unnaturally high standards for potion-making. Or at the very least, if he could let me know if I am doing well, or just wasting my time. NEWTs will be here before you know it, and I am getting nervous.

Thank you for the name, too. And the Flake.

I don't think it was so much the sitting. But yes, it is fine.

Well, no promises, but I will do my best to convince Professor Snape of your prowess in the Healing arts.

You're welcome. For everything.

Good to know. Will this suffice?

Well, I don't think that knowlege of my prowess in the dancing arts will convince him of anything, so thank you.

Careful, Lupin. I think you need sleep rather badly.

Good boy. You get a biscuit.

You are a boy of many talents, Finnigan. Do not sell yourself short.

What is sleep? All I do in this infernal place is sleep. My kingdom for a Muggle television.

And electricity, of course.

Wrong boy. I would rather a carrot.

I don't anymore, thanks to you. You are a good friend.

Here:

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing

See? You're not the only one knows Muggle poetry. So there.

Now, sleep. Soon I will be a proper healer and I will actually be able to order people around, but for now I must rely on their good manners.

Sleep.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Goodnight, Seamus.
