Current mood: chipper

You'll be pleased to know that I have the hot scoop on the best-selling author of the wizarding world.

I am sure not including my name was a mistake.

Hera Preglosiortonbrag is a fraud. Don't you think you ought to have included that?

blondenarcissa @ 2004-04-24 08:02 am UTC

She most certainly IS a fraud!

potterstinks @ 2004-04-24 08:20 am UTC

Well, yes, Mother, that's what I've said.

(parent)
blondenarcissa @ 2004-04-24 08:23 am UTC

And I agree with you wholeheartedly, darling! I shall be travelling today on business. Are you in need of anything while I am out, dear?

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2004-04-24 08:25 am UTC

I, of course, never need anything, but Millicent needs a copy of The Duke and I.

(parent)
blondenarcissa @ 2004-04-24 08:32 am UTC

I shall pick that up for her, then, as well as a surprise or two for my charming son. I am aware that you're having a Hogsmeade weekend; if you go, please be careful. I would loathe to learn of my pride and joy having a bit of an accident once more.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2004-04-24 08:34 am UTC

Oh, I don't know if I'll go. There's not much to do, really, is there? It's always filled with all sorts of riff-raff, as well.

(parent)
blondenarcissa @ 2004-04-24 08:36 am UTC

You needn't rub elbows with the riff-raff, dearest. Perhaps you could spend the afternoon training the house-elf your father sent to school with you?

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2004-04-24 08:40 am UTC

I've forgot its name and now it's not listening to me. Why are elves so fickle?

(parent)
blondenarcissa @ 2004-04-24 08:41 am UTC

Perhaps it doesn't understand a command that is not punctuated with the tapping of your father's cane on the floor?

I suspect they are fickle because they, like certain other magical creatures, can be.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2004-04-24 08:45 am UTC

Perhaps I ought to think about carrying a cane as well. They are quite stylish.

(parent)
blondenarcissa @ 2004-04-24 08:51 am UTC

Yes, quite. I think you would look ever so dashing carrying one, dear.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2004-04-24 08:55 am UTC

I generally do look dashing, Mother. It's the way I carry myself.

'Hera [Peligroso] is a fraud,' claims Draco Malfoy, a seventh year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

I decide who is and isn't a fraud, little man.

Draco is an exemplary judge of character, just like his mother. Do not address my son again in such a condescending manner.

'Draco is an exemplary judge of character,' says Narcissa Malfoy, mother of one.

Do give examples, Mrs Malfoy. I'm listening.

blondenarcissa @ 2004-04-24 08:40 am UTC

I do not have time to compose a list for you, Ms Skeeter, for my scroll of parchment listing such examples would surely be much too long for any owl to carry off to you.

9 down is actually keeling. Bad form, Rita.

ritaskeeter @ 2004-04-24 08:31 am UTC

It is not.

sinistra @ 2004-04-24 08:38 am UTC

Yes it is. Why would you do the crossword for a paper you work on anyway? Don't you already have the answers? Or don't they give them to you? I thought they gave them to all the good reporters.

(parent)
ritaskeeter @ 2004-04-24 08:41 am UTC

That would be dishonest. Good day.
