Honestly.
I never expected this sort of behaviour from either of you. Especially you, Hermione, as you destroyed a book.
Detention, the both of you, effective immediatey. You will bind broken books and recover the older ones without the use of magic.
And, for the rest of the term, neither of you are allowed to select books unsupervised, and you will not take books from the library at all. Your revision for NEWTs can be done there. If this is not convenient for you, then I suggest you find someone willing and foolish enough to share their books with you.
