Mother, this happened over the Easter holidays. We intended to tell you then, but it later became clear that it would be more proper to wait. We eventually decided that it would be a pleasant surprise and did not want you to have to do anything to assist us.

Molly, I am not certain whether or not I mentioned to you that Percy and I were in Diagon Alley that week. I do not think I told you directly. This is why we were in Diagon Alley, though; we were looking for a flat, although we have since decided that it would not be the best place to live.
