Current music:Metallica - One

I haven't posted here for a while, and though I am hardly in the mood, the headmaster insisted. What he also insisted on was that I spend some "quality time" with Snape tomorrow afternoon. Just what I bloody want to do after spending another Saturday night alone. Remus, for some reason, decided he didn't want my company on his trip into Muggle London. I hope he's enjoying himself. I certainly am not. It's far too quiet, no matter how loud I play my music. And I have tomorrow to look forward to: playing bloody chess with Snape. Dumbledore is a sadistic man. I haven't played chess for years. No doubt Snape will take great delight in beating me soundly. I can hardly wait.

Please, Black, in case you hadn't heard, Metallica sold out and cut off their hair. Perhaps that will be a reasonable enough excuse for you to turn that awful racket down. I'm certain that you wouldn't know anything about haircuts, now would you?

You should be looking forward to your chess match with Severus. After all, I'm quite sure you've been looking forward to capturing his little bishop for quite awhile, haven't you?

Well, in case you'd forgotten, I did miss out on quite a few years. I happen to enjoy thier music, whether or not their hair is still long. And the length of my hair shouldn't concern you at all, no should my taste in music. Perhaps if you had a life of your own you wouldn't persist in shoving your nose into mine, or Snape's, lives, for that matter.

I doubt Snape will appreciate your reference to his "little bishop" either... or do you know more than I do?

Perhaps, Black, you had forgotten that when one turns their music up to such decibles, those of us in the chambers around them can't help but notice when their walls and belongings start to shake. As for your hair, I have begun to notice several long, black, hairs scattered throughout the staff's table at dinner. Now, unless your wolfie has been transforming at the dinner table, there is only one other man they can belong to. Unless, of course, they belong somewhere other than your head. In which case, the problem is more serious than I thought.

Come now, you cannot expect me to believe that my music travels through six foot stone walls all the way to your rooms. Unless you have taken up once again your unfortunate habit of listening at keyholes? Is that why you seem to know so much about other's sex lives?

And perhaps you would not be so obsessed with my hair if you had any of your own left at your age. That is, however, not my fault.

Oh, yes, Black, you have me now. I am, at this very moment, sitting in front of your keyhole (on a laptop, of course, and perhaps with a cell phone and a mask?), and that is why I can hear "Enter Sandman" at top volumes. My, but you do seem fixated on "keyholes."

And in case you've forgotten, dear Sirius, I was two--not one, not zero, but two--years behind your class at Hogwarts. So if one wants to begin talking about age, by all means, lay all of your chips out on the table. And I do mean all of them. The last I heard, you were gallavanting around and claiming your age to be twenty-three. Twenty-three what, exactly, Black? Inches? That's a little more credit than even I imagined you would give yourself.

I never have lied about my age. I have no need to. The years have just been far kinder to me than to you. I had no idea you were younger than me. Genetics I suppose.

Nice tilde, Black. It really suits the new feminine you.

I imagine the Dementors had a hand or two in making you look younger, didn't they? After all, laugh lines can be so troublesome. It's rather nice, the way Dementors take care of all happy memories like that. Better than plastic surgery.

I see, that Dementor remark is your idea of a clever insult. I had little to fear from them, you see: I was innocent.

And if you want information about plastic surgery, I'm sure your good friend Narcissa would be glad to tell you all about it. Although I fear it would be a waste of money for you...
