You would think that others could show some appreciation when I take time out of my busy schedule as Quidditch captain and school Prefect to help others selflessly, but evidently everyone in this castle feels they can take, take, take. Yes, that's right: I am an endless pool of giving. No need to offer any token of gratitude.
Crabbe has his pants in a knot because I cannot sleep while he snores. He has also conveniently ignored the fact that Goyle was the first to post about the vociferous snoring - or perhaps he simply could not read it. If there continues to be such irritation in my dormitory, I'll throw the first years out to the common room and take over their dormitory. Honestly. You'd think that Crabbe would be a bit grateful, but it hasn't put a stop to his whinging. I'll be sending Millicent in his direction; perhaps she can put a stop to all of our suffering.
Mother's hosting some sort of glamour party for those select few witches at Hogwarts in the next Hogsmeade weekend, so I suppose Pansy and Millicent will be attending. I myself would go, as I'd enjoy escaping to the Manor for a weekend, but I'd rather not spend the entirety of my weekend with a bunch of witches trying to improve their feeble looks. Aside from Pansy, of course. I suppose Goyle and I could go into Hogsmeade, though what there is to do in Hogsmeade anymore is anyone's guess. Of course, we could always try to spot some Weasleys shopping at the travesty that is Glad Rags, but even that loses its charm after a bit. Poverty is so boring, but with the way the Weasleys are pushing it, one would think it was this year's black.
Speaking of fashion, I've ordered this season's newest robes, and they should be arriving any day now. My Mother always enjoys keeping me posted on the newest fashion, which of course puts me eternities ahead of the rest of the fashion rejects around here. Don't think I haven't noticed that some of you are still wearing last year's calf-length robes. Pathetic.

I will have you know, Malfoy, that having been last season's trend, shortened robes are retro, which is very in this season. Fashion is never as simple as you, the unenlightened, seem to find it to be.

"Retro" is and has always been another word for "too cheap to care about one's appearance." I notice your trousers rarely even match your "retro" robes. How appalling.

There's still stuff to do in Hogsmeade. I mean, the Three Broomsticks is really great and no matter how many times you go you can't try everything at Honeyduke's. And Zonko's is fun too. But I suppose you probably don't like Zonko's.

For your information, Potter, the Three Broomsticks is dull. What is so great about spending time with the same people you spend your time with every day? If I want to spend time with someone, I hardly need to relocate to do so.

That's not what I meant. I mean, you don't have to go with the same people you always hang out with at Hogwarts, that's all. There's a lot of kids at Hogwarts.

Interesting suggestion, Goyle. Of course, it would have to be while the wax was still hot, as it would have to be shaped perfectly to fit his nose. But then, he'd probably still snore out of his mouth. Perhaps we could have him fit with a gag and the hot wax.
