Just a quick announcement: I'll be accompanying Professor Lupin to help him set his grandmother's affairs in order. Instead of having someone cover my classes, since the staff is already quite busy, I will assign the following tasks to each class. Classes will not meet but I will expect your assignments to be turned in when I return.
First Years: eighteen inches of parchment on the importance of iguanas to DADA
Second Years: four diagrams on proper impediment hex placement
Third Years: 24 inches of parchment on three dark creatures and their natural defences
Fourth Years: 30 inches or parchment on non-lethal, non-combative defences, with examples
Fifth Years: study the chapters in your text that reference the theory and practise of the Patronus charm and make a study outline
Sixth Years: 36 inches of parchment, with references, on the history of one of the Unforgivable Curses, your choice
Seventh Years: be prepared to present to me a comprehensive update as to the progress of your independent study project.
